Nice chapter, Paul. It certainly met with my expectations.

Quote
I went for the welder first. I didn't want to have to worry about him turning his blowtorch on me. Surprised by my presence and overwhelmed by the force of my punch, he went down quickly. The other three, however, reacted a lot more quickly than I'd expected. Almost immediately after taking down the first soldier, I found myself being attacked from two sides by pipe-wielding enemies. I realized my mistake too late — these weren't street thugs, they were professional soldiers.
I love your description of the fight against B39 and Phillip distracting Tommy during the fight was funny. thumbsup

the tank of Kryptonite got lost in the scuffle. I looked around as carefully as I could, but it had rolled completely out of sight.
Oh, dear. I hope this doesn't come back to haunt them later ...

Thanks for taking the time to comment. smile

Part 7 coming right up.

When in doubt, think about penguins. It probably won't help, but at least it'll be fun.

I agree totally. The conversation that goes on during the fight scene is great. Particularly, as Phillip continues to talk even after he realizes it's a nuisance. Such a habit for chatty people.

Very descriptive ending. The terseness works well. They had messed up. Badly.
