Mary, glad you're liking it.
No, the Shadows didn't invent the hovercraft. That was invented long before the 90s. They did, however, adapt the Wall of Sound technology to create a new type of (silent and powerful) hovercraft.
As for the date... It's being written by Tommy at an indeterminate point in his future. Years after the end of the show, but likely before the founding of Utopia.
Ankit, thanks for the compliment. And, yeah, I liked the trust, too. It came about, as Sara pointed out, because of the continuity of the show, but I was happy with the way it came together. Glad to know it worked so well for you.
Sara... just curious... how many favorite parts do you have?
(Reminds me of the guy from the KFC combo pack commercial...)
Okay, sorry. Here you are, having been my faithful BR, one of my most faithful commenters, and reading the story yet again... you deserve better than that.
Anyway, yeah. I've said it and you've said it and others have said it, but might as well say it one more time. It's one of my favorite aspects of the story that it builds continuity and plot "glitches" into a new, secret, expanded series canon. I had a lot of fun with that, and it's always good to see someone appreciating it. So... thanks again.
Paul
