I was glad to see a sequel to your fascinating story,
Chip Off the Old Clark . I remember I was slightly shocked to find that Clark had an out-of-wedlock son that he was not aware of. Lois was equally shocked. The story dealt very sensitively and maturely with this subject, the sudden discovery that one part of a newly-engaged happy couple turns out to have an unknown son who is several years old.
This sequel underscored the very strong bond between Clark's son Robin and his step mother, his father's wife, Lois Lane. Sometimes it is really just like that - the people we love best can be people we have no biological ties to.
I also loved seeing Lois and Robin talk about Robin's biological mother, Kim. I loved how they visited her grave together every year, and I loved even better how Lois said a silent thank you to Kim almost every day.
What a beautiful Mother's Day story, Squid!
