Have no fears - I'm enjoying this immensely, no danger of me getting bored.

Goody!! a new chapter is up!! smile1

Quote
Lois slid up to the bar, wincing as she realized that the seat was covered in some kind of slime. She quickly changed seats and turned to the bartender, who was another member of the gray faced set with the ridged eyes.

“What’s the house special?” she asked.

“Depends,” he said. He glanced back at a mirror over the bar. “You aren’t a vamp. Neither is your friend. What are you into?”

Lois frowned.

“Blood, exotic protoplasms, spinal secretions from desert lizards?”

“Um…what sort of blood do you have?” Lois asked, feeling somewhat queasy.

“A positive, O negative, Otter, pig, cow and Ibex.” The waiter leaned forward. “I wouldn’t recommend the human stuff, myself. They get it out of the medical waste bins at the hospital, and I understand that the diseases can give it a real tang.”

“Ibex?” Clark asked.

“We’ve got an African supplier who comes up with the primo stuff.”

“I don’t suppose you have Diet Coke,” Lois asked. Glancing around, she said, “Still in the can.”

The waiter smiled slightly. “I guess you folks must be new in town.”
smile1 smile1 smile1 Lorne is in the House!!!!

Ok, You have to let the save Jimmie. He should have been safe enought--they took him to the airport in broad daylight. But, I know the vamps can get around to some extent using sewers/etc. Please let him be ok???? grovel

Wonderful. I still wish that Lorne had read Clark as well.<big sigh> I suppose you can't have everything you wish for. . .

Shayne, these instalments remind me of the old Lays Potato Chip commercials. There tag line was that "Nobody could eat just one".

These instalments are like having one potato chip. There's a lot of 'taste'packed into a small package and you leave us constantly wanting more.

Each of these short instalments provide interesting developments and teases which build the anticipation for more. Luckily you have been keeping a frequent posting schedul otherwise I'm afraid some of the gentle readers would be sending their little armies with the swords and pikes after you.

Still Sticking! It is actually pulling me in more and more despite the slow pace of the romance. But I did see it going in that direction in this one. But now you have me on the edge of my seat with what Lorne will tell them about Jimmy. Also did Lois sing "I've got a crush on you?" laura

I second what Marcus and Tank said. This is utterly fantastic.

From Pheremone, My Lovely:

Clark: Lois! Please! Get a grip!
Lois: Believe me, I’d love to!

For me as a Buffy illiterate, this was a mysterious chapter, Shayne. I had fun at the Star Wars comparison - yes, I remember the first Star Wars movie from way back when (1977?), when the bar scene caused a sensation. Those were the days! (And believe me, you had me snickering at the suggestion that a lot of people in Hollywood are actually demons! Ah, but poor Michael Jackson.)

I agree with everyone else that what you serve up is like appetizers, which leave me constantly hungry and impatient for more. So please come back soon with more!

Ann

Did you really think that Industrial Light and Magic used computers?

Loved seeing Lorne!

"I've Got A Crush on You" would of course be appropriate, but I was hoping for a Barry Manilow song--another nod to the Angel fans...
