Trust you? Well, if you say so, Shayne... But please, please...don't hurt Lois! Anyway, I really liked this part. I particularly liked Lois' 'If you ever really loved me...' bit. Hehe. Just watch Clark fight that compulsion now! ~Anna.
Lois: Jimmy, give me back my dress. Clark: Now there's something you don't hear around the newsroom everyday.

Ok.. Shayne, I'll trust you.. but can't Clark .. I don't know accidentally cough or sneeze and blow Angelica away... please? :p Thoroughly enjoying it..
If she had to move heaven and Earth, perhaps come back to haunt Perry and explain the story after they'd killed her, she would do it.

Now what can Clark do to Angelica which isn't quite breaking his side of the deal?

I only promised not to shed a drop of your blood. I think this is the key. All Lois has to do is somehow get Angelica to scratch her or whatever to release just one drop of blood, then Clark can be free. I don't know anything about Buffy-verse, but I've really been enjoying this story. Keep it coming.

“None of this was your fault,” Lois said. She stabbed backwards once, brutally, and felt the explosion of dust hit her neck. “You couldn’t have known this was going to happen.”
Buffy had known. In truth, deep down, Lois had known as well. Clark was too perfect to remain unsullied by this new, grimmer darker world they’d discovered.
Lois had a feeling that this side of life wasn’t a place that you entered without losing a little of yourself. Nothing was as cut and dried as it had been in the past. This is what I love about this story--its story isn't just about the Buffyverse. Looking forward to the next part.

Another truly great part. Way to go, Shayne! And, please... come back soon, okay?

My blod pressure is already higher than it should be, Shayne! And then you end this chapter on such a cliffhanger that it may be the most tense cliffhanger in history!
Well, maybe not in all of history, but it's pretty close.
I think Lois should turn one way or the other, doesn't matter which way or how far, and use that little bit of extra reach to jam her hand into Angelica's mouth as hard as she can. The vampire biting reflex should take over, and then all bets would be off!
Great story. Great tension. Every time I think I've got it figured out, you fool me. And that's more than okay! I love the way you're taking us into uncharted territory and giving us a little more about our favorite characters every time you post. And every little glimpse into the Buffyverse is more than I knew before, so it's a treat.
Keep it up! Where's the next chapter already?!?
