Here's the FDK for submission number 5. You know the drill, speculate, but don't refute or confirm! Here's my own feedback: “That just sounds wrong on so many levels. Corn lover? It’s like a double entendre in a bad romance novel.” Haha! I can already tell I'll like this one. Her heart beating a little faster in her chest, she leaned up and planted a tiny kiss on the underside of his jaw, pausing for a brief moment to inhale the scent there. His hand tightened against her shoulder in response, and then he lazily began stroking her arm. Mmm... that just made me melt into a warm puddle of goo. I loved this one. Hehe, the end just made me laugh. One can never say Lois ever does anything half way! Laura

Very cute. I should have known the green-eyed monster would turn Lois into an ear of corn.
I'm thinking this could be our mistress of ceremonies, Laura, or maybe Mona?
Clark: "You don't even know the meaning of the word 'humility,' do you?"
Lois: "Never had a need to find out its meaning."

*lol* Well, this started off on the right foot! “Clark, this is ridiculous. I’m not going to attend this hodunk parade dressed as your corn queen lover.” “I think the thrill of being chosen as the idol for ritual crop worship has gone to your head Clark.” *giggles madly* OMG, this was funny and sweet and.... awwwww! I absolutely loved it! ...and I think this is Laura's work! I'm put good money on it being her actually. Great work!!

I'm not going to guess who wrote it (because I have no idea), but I thought it was pretty adorable that Lois would show up as an ear of corn rather than as a corny corn queen. Hope Clark will show his appreciation when they come home together for the night!! Ann

I know Lara quoted part of this, but I can't resist saying it again: “I think the thrill of being chosen as the idol for ritual crop worship has gone to your head Clark.”
“Come on, you know you want to,” he wheedled. A smile lit his face. “I’ll buy you a treat. Something chocolate.”
Lois gave him a withering stare. “What am I, a dog? ...” And I think this gem was written by someone who seems to enjoy setting stories in Smallville as much as I do. And that's all I'll say about that! Caroline

I'm a firm believer in the fact that God doesn't put any more on us than we can bear. He does however make us come to Jesus every so often.

I don’t know whom wrote this, but I enjoyed this very much. I liked that Lois got jealous when that woman told her someone else will get to kiss Clark -Camy

Thanks to Caroline for calling my attention to this: “Come on, you know you want to,” he wheedled. A smile lit his face. “I'll buy you a treat. Something chocolate.”
Lois gave him a withering stare. “What am I, a dog? Lois Lane, a dog? Hardly! She will not whimper and grovel and wag her tail and beg for little treats. And then be all humble and obedient. No sireee!! Lois Lane is dignified, independent, given to her own little (dignified) whims, and she isn't taking orders. Lois, you see, is a cat! (But don't tell Cat!) This cat is named Lois: Gorgeous, eh? Maybe Lois the cat will let you pat her. Maybe. Ann

“Clark, this is ridiculous. I’m not going to attend this hodunk parade dressed as your corn queen lover.” What an intro! Hoot! Hoot! I have no idea who wrote this one. Let me get back to you after I've given it some thought. All's I know is that this here corn festival was a heck of a good time. Elisabeth

Okay, after much thought, pondering, perplexing and random dart throwing (the list on my monitor will never be the same), I've come up with a decision on who I think the author is. I'm hypothesizing it to be Laramoon because A) The style reminds me of One Blinding Moment, B) The story is obviously the first in a series and the title begins with 2 A's, C) There were no mentions of bats and I think Lara will be sneaky that way and D) The dart hit her. Who else could it be?

That was a very cute story. Lois dressing up as an ear of corn! Too funny! I was thinking that maybe Laura wrote it, but there were a couple of things in the story that pointed to Sue. So I'm going to guess her. I think she's written more than one story. Do you get extra points for guessing them all wrong?

Mind you, this was a year that I'd been around all year and not like, say, last year when I read all of about 2 fics. I think I managed to only get a .5 point on one of them... I think it was Laramoon. I was thinking Wendy, but I realized that she would have to do a lot of research to make it sound that believeable...

Well, I really don’t have time for a lot of feedback right now... Really, I don’t, but this sent me into giggles: Do they really expect you to dress up as an ear of corn? And the idea of Lois dressing like an ear of corn... Delightful. I'm not making any guesses, but I will say I didn't think it 'cried' LaraMoon.
