Good! Lois deserves to finally start realizing how much she's hurt everybody in her haste for revenge.

She deserves to have everybody abandon her over this. If I were Clark I would have Lois arrested for drugging him and having sex with him. Soulmates or no. What Lois did was a crime pure and simple.

Hi Juliet smile

I've heard that reasoning over on the nfic-thread, too. But why is Lois' using a Viagra-substitute a crime? Clark may have been a little easier to excite, but other than that he still had all his rational thought processes available. He chose to do what he did. Just like Lois did.

Yes, I do know that people are not allowed to slip others even an Aspirin, but in the end, the actual 'drugging him'-part is not any more or less a crime than her breaking and entering. And nobody arrests her for that either.

And at least she used something fun instead of a laxative (if it had worked laugh )

Because men are arrested for drugging women and sleeping with them. Regardless of whether the sexual act is committed or not, if a guy was caught drugging a woman he would automatically be arrested and charged and in some states it's a felony.

In my mind what Lois did to Clark is no different than a guy in a club slipping a defensless woman a "Date Rape" drug. Regardless of whether she thought Clark would not sleep with her the intent was the same, pure and simple.

Juliet, while I certainly do see your point, and just making it different because she is a woman would definitely be wrong, there is one big difference imho between what the potency drug did and what a date rape drug does.

The potency drug just affected Clark on a physical level, just like a laxative would. So, would a guy get arrested for putting a laxative into a woman's drink and she had then urgent business to attend to? Or would he only get arrested later on because she slept with him after she felt well enough for such things? To very unrelated actions, mind you, if you discount her perhaps feeling not up to her game that night.

And I'm sorry if the example is a bit far fetched or, um, not appropriate, but I can't think for the life of it of another drug that only has a (to a healthy person) harmless physical effect. And laxative-jokes are not that uncommon on TV anyway. (Think laxative chewing gum and the likes offered to a rival.)

But on a different note, your comments about soul mates gave me some very nice little plot bunnies on who to get from A to C to E, with B and D being unknowns before. So thanks a lot smile

Hey Michael. I'm going to step carefully around the current drugging debate and just give you a wave and let you know that I'm still reading and enjoying and all that even though it's taken me this long to tell you.
