I really need to stop torturing myself and wait for this to hit the archive.

Of course, then I'd spend the next umpteen months torturing myself wondering what you're doing to torture everyone else.

It's a no win.

Really - sending the whole file out would be easier. Did you really think I'd give up on that?!? wink

It's interesting that they don't remember the meeting that seems to have set this all off but remember things after that. It seems they start remembering things as they talk about them. Mention the bomb on the Messenger and they remember it. Mention the warehouse and Clark remembers it. But they don't remember the meeting - unless it wasn't in the office and then that might explain it.

It's 2001 - doesn't Clark have internet access? Heck, *I* had high speed in 2001... If so, wouldn't it be easier/safer/whatever for them to start there - especially if it seems that Clark doesn't work for the Planet. Given the notes and the cut out picture, him showing up there with her may not be the best plan. Or at least find a newsstand. And Lois not only doesn't live on Carter but the super doesn't know her. That said, the reaction by the super seems a bit over the top but there may be more to it than we realize at this point.

So - are they keeping their old memories and have new ones that overlay them - like a double exposure or whatever. They can 'see' both of them. Or are the old memories erasing? Either way - they need to fix whatever they messed up because even if they stay together their little girl is gone frown .

More now would be good wink .

Hey maybe Lois and Clark are "remembering" only those memories which are conflicting. That's why they don't remember their first meeting (sometime before the Planet interview) and reasons for Lois' hatred since it didn't happen in the original reality. Just a theory.

Clark's wallet is missing - oops. But what does it mean? Is it just misplaced or lost in time? laugh

Lois not living at Carter Avenue could only mean bad things for Lois' unattached status thumbsup dance

If she had to move heaven and Earth, perhaps come back to haunt Perry and explain the story after they'd killed her, she would do it.

Nothing that happened in this chapter can be good for our duo.

I am not sure I could wait for this in the archives knowing that you were posting and folks where enjoying it!

Yeah, what Carol said! But let's get real, I can't turn away from this story now! I just hope you keep up the snappy posting schedule, ML. I'm intrigued! smile

I can't figure enough about where the story is going to intelligently comment, but I did want to say how intrigued I am. Very enjoyable read.

ML, I'm just having a blast reading this story. While this is a potentially scary situation for Lois and Clark, I find myself just kicking back and relaxing as I read this. No matter where you end up taking it, I know it's going to be great.

Good point, Carol. I never really thought of that. Hmmm... maybe I should go back and add something to the story to explain why he doesn't.

As for the other comments... Well, I don't dare respond to some for fear of giving something away. Let's just say that some of you might be on to something... or not laugh

That really is the best way to approach this story... because it's going to be a long time before you get the answers you seek (although, hopefully by the end, everything will be made clear)

Lois is not living at Carter!
Lois is not living at Carter!
Lois is not living at Carter!
Lois is not living at Carter!
Lois is not living at Carter!

AAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

*panics*

Lois is not married to Luthor. But, Lois is married to *Dan* and Clark could perhaps even be dating Mayson.

help

ML, get back here. Oh, wait. Don't get back here until Sunday evening. Need to write my own fics first.

Maybe Clark - even with his superspeed - couldn't figure out his password because it relates to something he doesn't even realize happened. For instance, my password that I use for a lot of things is a name that everyone would instantly recognize but would never guess for a password because when I chose it years ago - it related to a class I was taking. So Clark might use... Harrington if he chose a password to remind him about HiM, but isn't something most people would guess. He may have chosen something that reminds him of his first post-Messenger investigation that brought him into contact with Lois or the name of the restaurant he asked her to go to [or something to go with one of those notes he kept] or something, but without that memory, even with superspeed, it seems unlikely he'd get it for a long time.

Just a thought smile .

Oh, I like that idea, Carol. Now I'll get to spend the rest of the afternoon trying to think up the perfect password. laugh

Anyway, just stopped by here to post the next part. It should be up in a few minutes.

My favorite password relates to events that happened in my life 26 years ago. Anyone that guesses gets a free box of Fruit Loops.
