Did they seriously forget about Jimmy Interruptus? I mean come on guys. That's the same in any reality. I'm so glad Lois isn't involved with Claude. *shudder* I'm not happy that whatever it is that happened is something that happened to Perry, it seems. And really - Clark is like 95xs the reporter Claude is. Maybe more. And poor Clark knowing that he could have saved Beatrice and didn't. I wonder if he threw Lois over his shoulder in there somewhere . I also wonder if he just never heard Perry mention it. More. Now. Inbox is open . Carol

Claude is back, Clark did something to Perry and now the whole staff hates him... what gives?
Excellent chapter.

This is a fantabulous story. Once you draw the reader in you never let'em go.
I like the clues you're doling out in bits and pieces. Whatever happened started during the time of the Pilot and continued from there. Obviously there was a rivaly throughout the second half of the first season. Perry was affected, as was everyone close to the newsroom. Curiouser and curioser.

I was so worried when Claude showed up. But glad to see that Lois isn't with him again/still.
But Clark did something bad to Perry? I had pictured it with Clark doing something to Lois and her sort of blowing it out of proportion. But I'm really curious to see what Clark did to Perry. I'm trying to think back to any Superman rescues that Clark did for Perry that may have turned out differently with no Superman.

ML, I have absolutely no idea what twists you have up your sleeve. It can't be so obvious as Clark dumping Lois behind the Metro Club. And what about Perry. Claude And Lois is actually able to work in the same office after all the crap he pulled And now the gossip about Lois fraternizing with the enemy on the conference room table. Oh boy. Michael

I am not finished with this yet, but I had to comment on Claude. My brain honestly froze at the thought of Claude around Lois. ACK!!
I have to tell you that even with your explanation of why Claude is back, I find it a little weak. I can't imagine Perry asking Claude to come back if he had even a hint of what went on between those two.
Then again, if she never told Perry, I guess I could see it.
Loving the little hints. And I am liking the fact that without Superman as competition for Lois, Lex doesn't seem to be involved.
Now, the question is, why wasn't Clark at the theatre???

Love the intrigue - it keeps me guessing and wondering and hoping and.. well, I'm sure you get the picture. Like everyone else, I was scared what Claude's appearance meant, but thankfully it was nothing... The bad part is that we still don't know who the 'other' person is in Lois' life. Scary. Maybe with Jimmy's entrance, we can get a few more answers. For example, he can slip up and say 'How can you kiss Clark when you're dating [hopefully no one]?' I'm still all a-jumble here: the more I want them to figure out what happened (i.e. reveal more through new emories), the more I'm afraid of them losing their old/original memories. *sigh* Fantastic job! ~Sonia

Just as long as Jimmy doesn't say, "But what about US?"

Glad Lois and Clark got to kiss despite hostile memories. I'm still not sure if Lex is in the picture or no. Or our favorite DEA agent. Or God forbid Deter... so many baddies
If she had to move heaven and Earth, perhaps come back to haunt Perry and explain the story after they'd killed her, she would do it.

Don't have a lot of time - but I did manage to get part 8 edited and am just dropping in quickly to tell you that it will be posted in a couple of minutes. Once again, I don't want to comment on much that has been said - for fear of giving something away. But I do appreciate the interest. Speculate away Oh, and I will make one comment... so many things to go wrong Uhh... yes... So many things to go wrong. Isn't life wonderful
