As for this part, I think it's a good sign that Clark is annoyed with Superman.
I wonder what it will take or Superman to go home. Does Clark need to date Lois? Propose? Marry her? Or is it more about Superman, that he simply needs to tell him that he's ready?
I wonder if it bothers Clark to hear the cries for help during the workday when Superman is pretending to hold down a day job. I wonder if it bothers Superman.
