I wore a hardhat in preparation, but even that couldn't protect me from this blow. I never suspected it! Never never never!

Well, not quite sure what I was expecting, but that wasn't it. I am seeing fishies and birdies, but that's b/c I'm not feeling so hot [again? still?] and DS is sick which doesn't help.
I didn't really see that as a 2x4 for some reason. Big twist? Heck, yeah. 2x4? Not really sure. I think I was expecting some big Tank type thing and that's not quite what it was [yet - it still could be].
So there's 2 Lois Lanes. I'm guessing there's 2 Clark Kents too. I'm guessing they got back together and were off for a weekend together on their private island somewhere.
Wonder what Jimmy's thinking about all this...
Oh - and my computer didn't have a virus after all so if you want to go ahead and send it over - and then I'll have something to read while we take DS to the specialist on Monday - 3+ hours away. Really, you want to. You know you do. I'm sure Beth would still take it too...
More sooner would be good...

This story still continues to deliver each and every chapter. You are a master.

Oh - yes, loved the potty thing. So something one or more of my kids would have done/still could do...

Love, freaking love it. Woman you are brilliant. I'm so confused and it's awesome.
Btw since the "show" is now over I think it's time for daily postings now because really do you actually expect to wait two full days to see how this plays out.

“What?” he mumbled to himself. “How is that even possible?” he asked as he watched a second Lois Lane enter the building, this one carrying an overnight bag in one hand and a paper bag in the other. So Lois better tell the other Lois about the new truce between Clark and Perry and the job opening.

Reasons to stay up till 2:30 in the morning...
Good freaking grief! Really, I'm not sure what I expected, but that wasn't it! *runs around in circles* I'd minorly thought about it, but I guess I just assumed Lois and Clark had just taken over in this dimension, not that their counterparts were just roaming about the globe. You live, you learn, you RAFO. :p

Lois of this reality means Clark of this reality means answers! You didn't tell us this was a good 2x4! Of course, I'm not sure this doesn't just bring up more questions, but I choose to see this as a positive development.
I do have to wonder if there is some significance in what Lois of this reality is carrying back to her apartment. What is in that paper bag?
Oh yeah, I should mention that I thought this chapter was great!

Wow! So there are 2 sets of LnC.. atleast that is what appears. But are she and Kent together? What's in the paper bag? Food? Souveniur from far-off places reachable by Kryptonian express? More importantly, what about Vicky? And what does this mean? If Lois and Clark manage to undo what they did in 1992 what would happen to Lane and Kent? Would they just merge into Lois and Clark? So if this is the case what incentive would Lane and Kent have for helping Lois & Clark... uhoh. What kind of universe is this? Is this the theory where everytime you make a decision a new universe is created and since this one was created because of L&C time travelling, they and their counterparts have shared memories? Ok I'm just rambling and probably way off base, but it's all because of the 2x4 that made me see flying birdies and fishes... Fantastic and superb. I loved Lois' chanting "no place like home" and her use of possessive pronouns (your daughter vs our / my daughter)in describing Vicky's potty adventures was lovely
If she had to move heaven and Earth, perhaps come back to haunt Perry and explain the story after they'd killed her, she would do it.

Carol That's why Loew's and Home Depot have there toilets that are for sale placed on a shelf instead of the floor.

Now we're getting somewhere. Definitely a good 2x4. I've loved seeing that Jimmy and Perry are trusting Clark just a little bit (or at least give him the benefit of the doubt). It'll make the changes for Kent and Lane easier.
Wicked ending, though. I can't help but wonder if Lane's disappearance over the past few days has anything to do with breaking rule number one and a certain little toddler that exists in another universe.
I'm very excited to see Lane meet her alternate self. Now Lane and Kent can learn about Superman, Kent can grovel, and they can both get things on track in their universe.
Looking forward to Act V. Brenda

So, birdies? Hmm. No, when I look up, I only see the the fabric of my living room carpet. Although I wonder how I will get the spilled drink cleaned away from the ceiling... A soul-mate-intra-universe-connection-thingy causing their dream-sharing? Um, and this thing about you posting every other day. I would like to humbly mention that it is not really acceptable behavior anymore. Human beings are meant to live by a roughly 24-hour schedule. You're messing with my internal clock big time, and I doubt that that's healthy. So, how about you do something for the sani- um, health of your readers and move this show to a 24-hour schedule? I'm sure it will also provide a much higher FDK-rush for you. After all, you'd get tons of new FDK *every* day, instead of every other day. It isn't humanly possible to wait 48 hours to know what is going on. That cracked me up, Andreia. I'm so sure that ML is going to take at least three parts to give us something even resembling an explanation anyway, so... Michael

This is turning into somewhat of a mantra for me, but I seriously thnk daily posting is required. After all, you did say the story is written I've suspected all sorts of odd scenarios but having two sets of Lois & Clark's wasn't one of them. It'll be interesting to see them interact with each other. I suspect both Clark's will get along famously, but two Lois Lanes? Great part and did I mention, we need the next chapter tomorrow? :p

I had many scenarios in my head as to what the 2x4 could be (one of which was that you were suddenly going to wrap the story up in part 42, thank you so much for not doing that!), but this actually wasn't one of them. I was thinking something more along the lines of Lane and Kent finding themselves in Lois and Clark's universe. Or...other things, too. Really though, this story just keeps getting better and better. To the point that it is now driving me to distraction thinking of what might be coming next. I agree with everyone else - you have to post again sooner than that 48-hour hour standard (tonight would be fantastic ) or else I'm not sure I'm going to make it!

Sorry that I haven't been around to respond to posts . But, like Carol, I'm having computer problems again. Right now, I'm back on. But I don't dare turn off my computer before midnight in case it won't start up again. Don't worry, though. I've sent the latest updated version of my story to my hotmail account - so if my computer crashes again, at least I'll still have the story. But I did want to come on here while I had the chance to let you know that I love all the speculation. Oh, and to respond to this... I'm so sure that ML is going to take at least three parts to give us something even resembling an explanation anyway, so... ...by just saying:

ML - I am not having computer problems anymore . The internet's been spotty but that's b/c I'm at the hospital with DS [who may or may not be going home tonight]. I would be more than happy to store your latest files for you as a back up. Just send them on over... Carol
