That was an AWESOME update.

LMAO when Clark turned to look at Jay to let him know that he heard his whisper to Ellie. Nicely done. laugh

Looking forward to reading the last part.

That was great, Beth. the whole pre-proposal thing was so sweet. Of course, now you will have to give us a wedding and a proposal in part 25. laugh

Ellie teasing Jay during the dinner was so funny.

It is a sweet story, Beth. I only wonder how much trouble for any of these couples (and I include Lois and Clark) you can pack into the last chapter. Maybe a super-villain crashing the party, or it being revealed that someone in the family is in the family way (wouldn't it be a gas if it were Lois!), or an internal NIA power struggle spilling over into their personal lives -

But I don't think that's what's coming. I think what's coming is a sweet, tender, wedding and proposal and maybe a glimpse of the intimacy possible when one partner is Kryptonian and has an aura which includes the other partner. And I'd bet that there will be no party crashers, super or not, and no surprise baby announcements to take the luster away from Jon and Kaylie. I don't even think Jay's dad will make trouble.

So where's the next chapter? The bow on the package? The end which promises so many other beginnings?

Terry, Carol was trying to convince me to have the Wedding Destroyer make an appearance. Be glad that I do have some sense in me. (but only some, of course) wink

Thanks for the feedback. smile

Great part! Heh, I'm still expecting Jay's dad to make trouble or an NIA-disaster during the ceremony, but since we all know I love trouble...Maybe Terry's right and the finale will actually go off without a hitch. wink

Thanks, JD. Although I like the speculation, I'm going to have to zip my lip on this in order to keep from spoiling it. laugh

I'll probably end up posting the last part before Friday, in order to wrap it up.

Nice addition Beth,

I too am a bit disappointed that Jay's dad is choosing to show some sense. Well, he can always see/find out something later that sends him all crazy again.

Thanks, Bob! Sorry I made Jay's dad act reasonable. wink
