Thanks for the feedback! I am completely spent right now, but I have to say, this revived me a little bit after a somewhat frustrating day.
sarahg - Thanks! Clark's view of Lois definitely will go through several phases in this story, but that's largely as Lois is still sort of "inventing herself".
Thanks, robinson! I'm glad you mentioned the "channeling Lois" line. I was worried it was corny, but Carol convinced me to keep it in. Still, when I read it again before posting, I wondered about it again.
Patrick - Thanks! I think Lois' behavior may surprise you. (It definitely surprised me.) I think she will be fully recognizable by the end of the story, but right now, she's a bit schizophrenic. And of course, since we only know what Clark sees, we don't know what she's thinking, only what she says and does.
AnKS - Good question about Clark helping out in Metropolis. I'm not sure, and I have a fair amount of buffer, so don't expect to find out soon.
Seriously, Clark hasn't figured out what he's doing yet. He has a few rules he's been using for helping out, but hasn't yet determined how to adapt them since he's no longer in Smallville. And he still doesn't really have the ability or maturity to make these complicated decisions on his own. So, even when he does make a decision, it's not very firm.
In general, though, Metropolis is not off-limits, but it's not quite like in the show. He's not doing any patrols, just helping out at major emergencies. So, unless something happens in Metropolis of that nature, he won't be doing much there.
Michael - The Planet internship is the crux of this story, so I can hardly tell you how I plan to deal with the one spot thing now, can I?
As for Lois, the Titan, and Paul, you'll just have to see. I think the next chapter answers some of it, though. And by the way, I think Clark already finds Lois unlivable-with and he doesn't even know if she's made the Titan.
