Wonderful! And you didn't have to kill Jimmy after all.

Oh, that was so... anti-climactic Michael, happy that the world is back on it's axis. PS: unless someone drove a glowing, green dagger through Clark's heart in the last scene.

Hmm...RL has my muse pretty much out of comission this week, but maybe she'll get inspired this weekend. Of course Carol isn't offering me cookies....

Thanks everyone ... no time to reply properly ... I have to go on a school excursion with my son! But I did want to say this HappyGirl - And that's the whole idea of this kind of challenge. You came up with something I never would have thought of. How fun. I'm constantly amazed that what I think is obvious (ie using the one time Clark and Lois pretended to be married) doesn't occur to others. And, even more, it works the other way - I'll read something in a fic and and think 'that is so obvious, why have I never thought of that?' I guess the human mind has incredible capacity for creativity. And HappyGirl, please write up your Part 2 - I really want to know what you were thinking! I'll reply more fully when I get back ... assuming I survive a bus load of 9 years olds.

Now that was a brilliant ending. So easy, so obvious ... yet it never occurred to me until about halfway through the story. HiM! Of course! Great job, FH. You really left a smile on my face.

HappyGirl - thanks for the great idea and for letting me take your story and build on it. cookiesmom Thank you - I couldn't kill off Jim - that's my son's name! Michael PS: unless someone drove a glowing, green dagger through Clark's heart in the last scene. Cupid doesn't have kryptonite arrows - or daggers! Thanks for posting FDK. Sarah - Glad you like the way I righted the world. Annalina - Yep, Clark is on his way! Lois's life just changed forever. Kathy - Thanks for your FDK - I'm so glad you enjoyed it. DSDragon - Thanks for the FDK - glad you liked both of our untwists. Corrina.

Thank you for fixing this! I mean, the first half of the story was great, but it definitely smacked of evil. I didn't see the HiM angle coming, and it worked great! I loved the conversation in the conference room - poor Clark! I'm pretty sure I was as confused as he was.
Thanks for a non-evil part 2! Amber

Thanks Amber, I'm glad you liked it.
I hope it all made sense once you realised what was going on.

Okay, I'm still making my way through all the fic I haven't read in the past several months. Given that I don't get a chance to read often enough to even attempt long stories right now, this is taking much longer than it should. But it means I just found this.
This is a great part 2. I'm so glad you didn't kill of Jimmy - I guess I'm in the minority, but I like him. I even think I could conceive of his being married to Lois (in a world without Clark, at least), except that he seems too young.
This, though, like you said was both obvious and not at all (since I was confused pretty much all the way through until Lois threw her ring on the table).

Thanks anonpip.
I like Jimmy too - he's never going to be in Clark's league, but he fulfills his purposes well.
Thanks for leaving FDK.
Corrina.
