That was so great! Your descriptions of everything are so vivid.

But I can't handle the cliffhanger! What is it?!?

I'm very glad you are on a frequent posting schedule!

You can't leave us there! I'm wondering what he has in his hand, and there is something else?

If it goes horribly wrong, can you try to remember that it was never my intention to upset you?
I liked how Clark put everything in place for Lois. He is so sweet!

Post the next part soon, please!

That proposal was truly magnificent! clap

However, I think the more "fun" parts were my favorites:
Quote
“I have the solution,” Lois announced, grinning.

“You do?” he asked, eyebrows raised.

“Celibate marriage.”
and
Quote
On one condition,” Lois said, with a teasing smile. “I set the length of our engagement.”

“OK.”

“I’ll give you two options ... you can choose.”

He nodded his agreement.

“Three years ... or four.”

Clark gulped. Blushed. Seemed to stop breathing. “*Three* years,” he gasped. He was trying so hard not to look horrified.
For both of these I keep seeing the look of horror on Clark's face. rotflol

An finally, like everyone else I am wondering about what is in his hand.

I'm looking forward to the next part but I sill have my shields up. (Once burned and all that...)

Melray - so glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for your FDK.

Amber - this is a good cliffhanger. And hopefully, it'll be posted later this afternoon.

Thanks for your comments.

Kathryn - thanks! Yes, I can leave you there ... but not for long!

Yes, Clark is sweet - that's one of the reasons he's such fun to write.

Bob - Thanks for your comments.

I could see the look on Clark's face too!

In your FDK for Adrift, you said you were worried the delay in the engagement might cause problems. You'll note that, despite your suggestion, I refrained from evil! wink

There will be some angst, but it will be different to Adrift.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww and you sure are piling up questions here, Corrina goofy I expected Lois demanding they elope laugh

Quote
Lois tightened her hold on his neck, wanting to never let him go. Her mouth waltzed with his and her response slithered lower. Then she remembered ... they were going to wait.
Boy, Clark and Lois are going to be quite a bit frustrated during the next few weeks. Poor Jimmy. Poor Perry. Poor criminals laugh

Quote
“You want me to guess what it is?” Lois asked.

Clark smiled hesitantly. “No, I’m trying to work up the courage to give it to you.”

Michael - Thanks so much for all your wonderful feedback, Michael.

The towel was mostly about Lois's comfort - although Clark was busy preparing the food while she changed so it also protected both of them if his eyes inadvertently wandered. With the screen, he had to deliberately look - which they both knew he wouldn't do.
