Hmm....is anyone we know going to be at this dance? Probably not Mayson--one would think she would have mentioned it that afternoon. But, one never knows, do one? You see how we keep trying to corrupt your sweet little romp with our evil ways.

Actually, the idea of shoving Lois and Clark under Mayson's nose doesn't seem as satistying as one might expect in this story. This Mayson has no idea why Clark broke up with her, and she has no way of knowing.

BTW, if anyone likes a good 'you had no idea what you were throwing away' revenge story, and you can take the idea of Clark with someone other than Lois, go to bigapricot.org and check out Dandello's 'All I Have to Give.' The ending scene is priceless. And it's not really *our* L&C, so she has it coming.

I was a little surprised there was no link to a picture of the dress.

Amber - it's essentially the same one from Falling Slowly. Will have to find the links to that one... but this was Clark's POV - what does he know about describing dresses ? Lois will describe it better next go round...

Great story, Carol. I love that it concentrates so heavily on the growing relationship between Lois and Clark.

Clark's Grandpa seems to be a very nice guy.

Going back to previous parts ... the flying scene was amazing. I also enjoyed their little spat when they met Mayson. Clark genuinely had no idea ... but I could understand what had upset Lois.

Four more parts ... is there a dark cloud looming?

Keep meaning to mention that in my head L/C had taken the rings off at some point since the assignment was over.

Michael - just started 11 in BIII and no Zara so I'm not quite sure why you keep insisting she's coming... /shrug

Am slowly recovering - still exhausted but that's more a lack of sleep for a long time issue than anything.
