Nice little stream of consciousness vignette, Kathryn. I don't know why you hesitated to post it, but I'm glad you decided to share it with us after all. Nicely done. smile

I loved it when I first read it ... and I still love it.

Well-written and poignant.

Good job, Kathryn.

Very nicely written.

You captured Clark's pain and resolve beautifully.

A great example of Clark's/Superman's willpower (Despite the liberty we sometimes take with these characters, Superman -- in all his incarnations -- is known for his willpower; he never gives up.) This snippet encapsulates that perfectly.

All right... all right... but apart from better sanitation and medicine and education and irrigation and public health and roads and a freshwater system and baths and public order... what have the Romans done for us?

Wow! Well done. I'm always in awe of people who can write short and sweet. I can't seem to do that and my fics always run way long. So when you can write a teeny tiny vignette and have it be this excellent, all I can say is, Wow!

Thanks for leaving FDK!

HappyGirl I'm glad you liked it. I wasn't sure if it was good because I'm a bit insecure about posing anything I've written because English isn't my native language and I don't want to make mistakes.

Female Hawk Thank you. I wouldn't have posted it without your encouragement.

Laura Thank you!

anagram Thanks, I always thought we haven't seen enough of Clark in that episode. He had suffered so much in that cage and he barely managed to escape from it.
