My apologies in advance as I'm not sure the next time I'll be online. Tomorrow is booked up and Sunday is busy with getting ready to head back to work (which mostly involves spending every moment she's awake with my daughter). I'm not at all sure what my schedule will look like once Monday comes, but I suspect it will be pretty busy.

I'll try to get online and respond to comments sometime during the week, I just can't be sure when that will be.

It's a little frustrating, though completely understandable, to see Clark going through the same circular arguments again. I liked how Maddie felt like she needed to say something to him.

I have a feeling that Clark's story is way more than he thinks it is.

I didn't see the rest of the gang being there together with Lois. And Maddie must really feel a lot of deja-vu, but given how Clark is exhibiting the same behavior with Lois, it's not even like he found his soulmate or anything, it's just the next girl. Poor thing.

Wonder how that school-thing is going to turn out and Clark's parents are really working hard in keeping him down to reality.

You know, if Maddie's forte is noticing things, does that explain why she wants an explanation from Clark so much?

And isn't it a different kind of noticing than the noticing that Lois does?

Thank you for the comments! And sorry for the huge delay in replying. My new schedule leaves no time online during the week (this is a rare treat).

I know that means I missed posting the next chapter, but doubt I have enough time now to get to that (we have a short break while DD sleeps), and as I got about 200 words of writing done total in the last two weeks, I could probably use the extra buffer. I'll aim for posting every Saturday from now on as I doubt Fridays will be do-able.

Amber - I know it's frustrating. But like you said, understandable. I think Clark's arguments will start to mature at some point, but not quite yet.

Michael - Yeah, I feel for Maddie. It has to be hard to see Clark doing the same things with Lois he was doing to her. Particularly as Maddie sincerely cares about Clark, so she really does want him to be happy, but she knows his current behavior is not leading there.

IolantheAlias - Yes, Maddie's noticing is a lot different than Lois'. Quieter and honestly, a bit more like Clark's. I see Maddie and Clark fitting well together because they are so similar, whereas Clark and Lois fit as they are opposites (in terms of temperment, I mean).

I don't think Maddie really knows Clark's secret, if that's what you're asking, but I do think she knows it's something big and not the "family secret" Clark claims it was.

don't know if i can wait for saturday, but will be eagerly looking forward! love this story, just hope its happily ever after, and soon for the happiness (angst is getting to me)
