YAY!
Was wondering when you'd post this!
Looks great! Like the changes you made.
And still so sweet - the one place no one else has ever seen.
So got anything else lurking around?

Wow, you guys are quick! Admittedly it wasn't very long, but still...
Carol, yeah, it really shouldn't have taken that long to post, but I have been busy recently. I'm not now.
Kathy thanks for commenting
Ann thank you as well

This was a perfect vignette...just a little scene out of their lives. I love it! Your description of the place was so vivid.

We need a new adjective in this thread. Poignant? Romantic? Sweet definitely works, though. Very nice. Kathy

How about soft, gentle, vulnerable, open, risky?
I chose "risky" because Clark is allowing Lois into one of the most private and personal areas of his life, a place his parents don't even know about. He's chosen to open one of the hidden places in his heart, and the risk is that Lois won't like it or that she might not understand how vital it is for him to have a place like that.
Fortunately she seems to fully comprehend what he's offering her. She doesn't have a comparable physical place, but she can extend her trust in him even further and accept the trust he's given her to safeguard this most precious of places.
Beautiful, touching, tender, revealing, and any number of other adjectives which would apply. Excellent vignette. And placing it in the middle of the honeymoon is perfect. Thank you for sharing this with us.
Life isn't a support system for writing. It's the other way around.

I'm always amazed at people who can write a poignant, wonderful fic in so few words. It's tougher to be short than to be long. You've condensed the essence down into this tiny vignette. It works. It's wonderful.

I was indulging in my occasional habit of reading comments again  and, of course, had to read the story afterwards. <happy sigh> What a beautiful little moment between our favourite couple. You've packed such a wealth of meaning and depth of insight into this little vignette. Wonderful. LabRat

/is puddle of goo. *WaFFy sigh* I'm so glad that you dug this out and shared it with us. Small rodents scurried along the green floor with only the birds to prey on them. They didn’t fear me; they didn’t know what I was. Although, throughout most of my life, neither did I. Awww! This is such a melancholic statement, but not sad. Clark obviously knows what and who he is now, thanks - in part - to Lois. BJ

Ooo, more comments! Amber, thank you. I think I actually wrote the description first, couldn't think of what to do with it and then thought that maybe it was some place that Clark could get to and so twisted it into an LnC fic. cookiesmom, don't worry about the repetition because there's only so many ways I can thank you guys for reading and commenting, so thank you. Kathy, sweet works fine however often it's repeated! Terry thank you, but actually the honeymoon was Carol's idea so I won't take credit for it. Originally I had them going on their first wedding anniversary. IolantheAlias, actually I have trouble writing anything longer than this without adding in some angst. I expect that if I had tried to lengthen it, it would have turned into a fic on the destruction of habitats as the bulldozers rolled on in... Labby, thanks, I'm glad you enjoyed reading. BJ, thank you. - Alisha

I really enjoyed this. It was perfect - setting it in their honeymoon, giving us enough background detail, but not too much.
Lovely story.

Alisha, I have been meaning to leave feedback on this for a few days and somehow I kept bailing out before I wrote anything. Sorry for the delay. I love the piece. There is little to say that others haven't said better. However, I will add my adjective: I found this to be a heartwarming story. Bob

Sweet! The valley reminded me of the one portrayed in a very obscure comic reference: Scrooge McDuck - The King of the Klondike by Don Rosa Michael
