It's getting really exciting now, isn't it?

eek Exciting, yes, but torture remembering some of those early days of L&C where she had such a chip on her shoulder mostly against Clark.

Please hurry with the next parts. I need resolution!

Enjoying your writing in spite of the torture. laugh

Delightful. Nice cliffhanger, of a sort where we know they will be rescued, but not how. As Clark isn't with them I see several ways you could play this;

  • Clark appears and saves them
  • An unseen Blur saves them
  • For some "unknown reason" Lois and Jimmy's bonds are escape-able
  • Superman appears and rescues them

And knowing how you like to place a twist on things
  • Dr. Antoinette Baines rescues them
  • Clark and Dr. Antoinette Baines rescue them
  • Dr. Antoinette Baines is trapped with them and Clark and Bill Henderson arrive to rescue them

Looking forward to more

Wow dizzy It's been a while since I've seen this scene of the pilot, but I didn't remember Lex being this creepy eek Or maybe it's because this Lois is so much more vulnerable and at the same time gun shy that I didn't expect her to let him slip inside her guard like that. Serious creep-factor there.

When's Perry going to have his talk with Lois?

Looking forward to 8 smile

Evelyn, I'm glad you enjoy my writing. I don't mean to torture my readers, honest, but sometimes the story just needs some tension.

No, wait, I really do intend to torture my readers. My mistake.

Patrick, those are all very imaginative ways to rescue Lois and Jimmy. I'll have to remember them the next time I rewrite this scene.

Michael, the producers always wanted Lex to appear creepy to the viewers but not to the characters except for Clark. If you recall the cobra scene, where Lex stared down the snake, there is a companion scene in the script which didn't make it to the pilot ep. In this lost scene, right after Superman flies away from Luthor's balcony (when he tells Luthor to look up to find him), Asabi walks in carrying scuba gear and tells Luthor that the shark tank is ready. (Apparently Lex made a habit of challenging himself.) But because there is now a worthy opponent on the scene, he doesn't need these artificial tests.

Now that would have been creepy.

Next chapter up soon!
