Chinese food and fortune cookie traditions...Guess all that's missing is a few "in bed" jokes...

So the difference with this Clark is that he has never really learned to control his powers. He apparently did some travelling (to Africa) but let his emotions get carried away, hurt someone, and has been afraid that it would happen again ever since. Since he can't control himself, he uses the Kryptonite to do it.

Watching to see where this will go. I'm thinking that if anyone could make him lose control again it would be Lex, or someone threatening Lois. Especially if he saw Lex as a danger to Lois.

Wonder if Lois will ever find out that he gave the Lex interview away? She doesn't have to steal this story. At least Perry knows.

I, too, would have loved if Lois noticed that Clark gave away his Lex interview to her! And I would have loved if she noticed that he defended her to her colleagues, too. Well, sigh - Lois Lane of the Pilot was unnecessarily bitchy.

Some things happened differently here, though, compared with the Pilot. Clark and Lois got uninspiring Chinese food, for one thing, but I loved the change in fortunes. ‘He who throws dirt is losing ground.’ - what does that mean? Wo is throwing dirt? Who is losing ground? Lex? Lois's colleagues?

But the best fortune by far was Clark's, of course. “The one you love is closer than you think.” That's adorable! And Clark knew it was true, too, so he didn't dare show his fortune to Lois!

I'm hoping that Clark and Lois will have more success with Platt's notes here than they did in the pilot, and that they will manage to nail Dr. Baines and Luthor that way, or at least that they will manage to save the colonists!

Liked how you changed some things that were in the Pilot episode smile

Hope that Lois will at some time find out the Clark defended her to the colleagues and that he gave the Luthor interview to her smile

Please keep up your posting schedule - this story has me sitting on the edge of my seat as I sooo want to know what happens next clap

But I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if I did this to her. And so, I said, “I’m sorry, Mr. Luthor, but Lois Lane has been seeking that interview with you for a while. She is the one who deserves it—you should give it to her.”
I didn't expect that. Thought Clark would accept the interview. Would have been an interesting twist. clap

And then we saw Platt, sitting back in the chair, his hair standing up and his face pale and still and utterly lifeless.
Amy's an orphan now! eek dizzy

And with all those all-nighters, Clark's bound to be taking fixes with Lois more or less near by.

Captivating story!

If Clark has anger management issues (which he may or may not actually, it's a little hard to tell), he should talk to someone. Kryptonite is treating the symptoms, but not the problem.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone!

I would just like to make a general note that could be considered a mild spoiler but that is mostly me wanting to reassure folks-- the Lex interview will be addressed some more.

I will try! There might be a day here or there where I don't put in the several days due to Easter, my master's comprehensive exam on Monday and Tuesday (yikes!), and my class on Monday night...Blegh.

Well, she doesn't know about either of them as of right now. It can't be jerkish of her if she doesn't know! laugh

Hehehe. Even his fortune cookies know what he needs!

I am glad to hear that! I will definitely try to keep up the posting schedule, though as I noted to Kim, there might be just a few bumps in the next several days.

LOL. So, have Clark choose his career over his sense of fairness? Heh heh. "Sorry, but I really needed this job..."

Thank you!!

AmyPrime-- Clark has a lot of issues, heh, but they aren't exactly ones he can go talk to a psychiatrist about. "Uh, Dr. Friskin, I have certain...talents that uh...well..." Heh. Guess being able to talk about things is a plus of Clark coming out as Superman in the show.

Thanks again, all!
