Also looking forward to more; however, was it just my imagination, or was this part shorter than the others?

Now, what is the world's reaction going to be as a black-clad man just saved the transport vehicle? And, more importantly, Lois and Lex's reactions?

Fascinating!

Good thing that you had Clark save Lois and the colonists, and it would have been weird if you had let them all die.

And Clark is doing repentance. I'm reminded of a movie I have seen - could it have been The Name of the Rose? - where a fat monk is torturing himself with a whip. I couldn't help being reminded of that scene when you had Clark expose himself to an unnecessarily large dose of Kryptonite. What is Lois going to say when Clark turns up at work looking worse than ever?

And I have to take back what I said in my last FDK - there is more than sulking to Clark's anguish.

I just got caught up with this story, and I really like it!

I want to know what happened in Africa and what it's going to take for Lois to get through to Clark (intentionally or unintentionally). I like seeing how Lois reacts to Clark early on when she doesn't perceive him as a threat, as he clearly doesn't have it all together.

More soon please!

Thanks! I think my chapters range from a little over 2,000 to a little under 5,000. This was one that was a little over 2,000. I wanted the chapter break there, so I just went with it. The next chapter is definitely longer, though...

Hahaha. It would have been quite the downer, wouldn't it?

I haven't seen that movie yet, but I must admit the idea of self-flagellation did occur to me while writing.

I am glad to hear that. I was beginning to worry my portrayal of Clark would really turn everyone away considering all the comments about wanting to smack him, heh.

Heh. Yeah, it's less that she needs to protect herself from him than it is that she needs to protect him from himself.

Interesting twist on the safe, resolving things before anyone even notices something is wrong. But why *did* he remove Lois from the ship. And he didn't even worry about carrying her while he was carrying her. Or damage her. Clark's certainly over-obsessing. And on the way on becoming a touch-o-holic laugh
