Ann--
I'm thinking of Bruce Wayne, the "Dark Knight".
I must confess, I did think of Batman more than once while writing, heh.
Hmmm, I hadn't thought of him as a knight who wasn't bound to a certain lord, or who didn't want his identity to be known. But now I see that it fits.
It kind of makes me surprised why "Dark Knight" was used rather than "Black Knight" heh.
Except he isn't meant to be. He is meant to be the colorfully dressed superhero confidently showing his face to the world.
Heh heh. This is true...
You've got to tell us what happened in Africa, Deja Vu! But something tells me that we will not know about it until Lois does.
Heh. "A little bit here and a little bit there" is generally what I went by while writing. But there is quite a large bit in the next chapter...
But hey, Clark as "The Black Speck"! That's just too funny!
Hahahahahah. I love that picture. "See this? This is Clark." Heh heh.
Framework--
On the plus side when he does encounter folks like Trask with Kryptonite he will be far more able to cope with it than canon Clark.
Haha. This is true. "Kryptonite? Pshh. That old stuff?"
Again and again listening to your Clark's internal monologues and his interaction with his parents I keep returning to the following scripture.
That bit of scripture does indeed seem rather fitting. But I don't know that I would say he's
completely selfish...

Ah, a tantalizing glimpse into Clark's life in Africa...but just enough to bring up more questions!
Naturally!
It's interesting - Clark tells himself that he's alone and will always be that way, but he keeps placing himself in situations that ensure he won't be alone.
Heh. That is a bit of a problem, isn't it?
And there's nothing as dependable as the Lane penchant for trouble to force his hand.
Pwahahah. Ah yes.
I'm a big fan of the everyday posting!
I'm glad!

Thanks!
Do we find out where Clark went to university in Africa?
Heh. I just realized you're from South Africa.
I did try to do a little research, but I was so hesitant to choose a university just because I wanted certain requirements...and I didn't want to choose a place I thought fit the requirements only to learn it didn't. But if you'd like, maybe when we get deeper into the story and my requirements become clearer, then perhaps you could help me with the choosing of a place? Only if you want, of course...

Thanks!

Black Knight, huh? Interesting reasoning Clark put behind it. Does this mean the clone Superman will be called a White Knight? After all, he's in the service of a powerful lord.
Hahaha. Thinking about that, I suddenly feel like I'm playing chess with LnC characters...
"Not really. They just didn't have any other colors for lead-based paint, so..."
LOL.
The posting schedule is great!
I'm glad! I was a little afraid I was flooding the boards...
