And here we learn part of the reason for Clark's touch aversion. Or something like that. :p

Holy cow! Some really interesting plot threads introduced here. I can't wait to find out this Clark's backstory and why he's so damaged.

Not surprised that Perry White figured things out - after all, he wouldn't be a man in his position if he couldn't.

Also reiterating that I, too, am a big fan of the every-day posting schedule.

Well Perry was certainly great here. By seeing through Clark, and then forcing him to write the plea to the Black Knight to return, he forced Clark to consider the reasons why he should, indeed, let the Black Knight return.

And then "the lovely Constance"! What a shock that was! But the most shocking thing about it was Clark's reaction. How horrified and terrified he was!

What did Clark do? Clearly he didn't kill Constance. What happened? When will we know?

Adn Clark is clenching the shard of kryptonite in his bare hands for a minute. Clark, you can't make the past go away that way!

I liked the part where Clark had to write the plea for the Black Knight to return - that was brilliant!

You moved the episodes around a bit, right? I would have really liked to see some of that life-and-death stuff and how they handled it now that Clark can't super-save them.

I don't think Perry's figured out that Clark is the Black Knight.

Constance was the really big surprise. Sounds likes she mooned Clark and got him to do some stuff he shouldn't have done plus a murder he didn't commit but apparently the guy ended up dead anyway. Wonder how that's going to play out. Plus, she knows his secret from the sounds of it.

Someone mentioned kryptonite resistance in the previous thread. Sounds like that's a real possibility here.

*wiggles eyebrows* Did he figure things out, or does Clark just think he did? Heheh. You can't always trust the narrator...But then again, sometimes you can...

I'm glad to hear that it was a shock! I've tried to place the reader in familiar territory (the pilot) with unfamiliar demons lurking around that lead to far different places. At least, that's what I've been telling myself...

Hahaha. You will learn a little bit at a time! And that's all I can say about that!

Well, sorta. It's more like I took the pilot, tweaked it, took some scenes/plot-points from other episodes, and then welded it all together with some new material. The next chapter probably helps illustrate that more.

Hmmm....I'm not sure which "life-and-death stuff" you're referring to? I feel like I should know what you mean, but I can't think of anything right offhand...

Just because the narrator believes it doesn't mean it's true....But it also doesn't mean that it's false. :p Could be Clark's paranoid. Could be he's right. Could be it doesn't matter. Could be I'm just feeling evasive...

Heh. Bet no one saw that coming! Honestly, it was even strange to me how certain things came together in this fic. I could have just made an OC, but I liked using someone people were already familiar with.
