The chapter is full of great bits! Lots of shout-out to canon here.

“A man like you is bound to have a happy ending,” she remarked, hitting a button on her keyboard.
We can only hope.

“Afraid of what?” she pressed.

I wanted to lie to her, but I couldn’t let myself. So I told the truth. “It was about him being afraid of his anger and what he could do with the Dark Side. He feared he would end up hurting his family and friends, and so he chose to reject the Force and never use it again.”
A really interesting look into the character of this Clark. Hopefully he's coming out of his shell now - it certainly sounds like it.

I just kind of looked at her. Helping was what I meant to do—I hadn’t thought much beyond that.
Ah, lunkhead Clark!

"I think it would be good to have a full-frontal photo—”
Yeah, I bet you think so, Lois! wink

Yay, Lois got the interview!

Now, is Lex going to test Superman? And will this Superman, so much more inexperienced than the Clark from the show, handle this?

Looking forward to more!

Yeah, that's actually something I tried to do throughout. The canon has so many great parts that it's hard not to nod toward or incorporate some of them...

I wasn’t going to call myself “Samuel,” that was for sure.
Well, he could always go for Samson. Then Tank could have afield day laugh

And in accordance with the 'Lack of FRD' over in FF Challenge:
Quote
“Superman,” she said in surprise when she saw me.
"Clark," she said in surprise when she saw me.

Wonder if anybody is going to notice slight irregularities with the spots in the future laugh

She turned and surveyed the newsroom with a grim look, as if to warn everyone that whoever dared to steal her Superman story would be charred to a crisp by the sheer force of her will.
Well, he could lend her a piece of crystal, then she might be able to pick up this trick...

clap

Hahaha. Why not!

Hahahaha. That would change everything, wouldn't it? goofy

Heh. Well, the good thing is the spots are in pretty easy locations--as long as the ears and tail are completely black, then there isn't a problem....

Heh heh. Indeed!
