All right. I admit I feed my dog (whose name is Mxyzptlk, btw) at the dinner table...sometimes...

Great part!

Specially liked how you included Krypto in the rescues.

So, what happens next?

Loved this part! I am still curious about what happened Africa. We haven't gotten the rest of that story yet! smile

My policy against touch really had been unnecessary. It had made things so much harder for me—but it had at least made me realize that one of the finer things of life was physical expressions of love from family. A simple hug meant the world.
Glad to see Clark is realizing that not touching people was only hurting both himself and others.

I'm also looking forward to Krypto's part in the rescue business! laugh

If Perry suspected Clark was the Black Knight/Superman, this will just confirm it. Perry yells at Jimmy for not getting any Superman shots, then all of a sudden he gets them. However, it will be easier on Clark if his boss knows he's not a flake.

Perry: (To Lois) Honey, this could be greatest story since Superman came to town. By-the-by, where is that husband of yours?

More great bits!

Lois, the hard-hitting reporter who kept all men at a distance, saw something grand in what Superman was doing.

I didn’t see it as grand. I just saw it as something I had to do.
And that's what so great about Lois & Clark. She has an ideal. And he's actually capable of living up to it.

“Come on, Lois, you can’t tell me even you didn’t notice how built the man was . . . . Do you think the suit comes off?”

I turned my head away from them so they couldn’t see how red I was. I did not need to hear this.
One of those "TMI" moments that Clark will no doubt hear more of!

“Let’s just say that dog of yours is quite the superdog.”
Good to see Krypto! He's rarely seen in fanfic -it's just too darn hard to work him in. And this Superman having a dog right from the start - that will certainly get him positive brownie points! A super-strong alien with a pet dog... it's just kind of cute. How could you think anything bad about Superman when he's got such a cute dog?

Still reading and enjoying, not least the Krypto parts, but looking forward to still more Clark/Lois interaction. (I don't mind a man with a dog, but I prefer a man with a woman...)

That's nice to hear! I wanted kind of a mix of the familiar with a mix of the unfamiliar...

That's great! It's one of those chapters where not too much happens apart from some Krypto exploration, so it's good to hear it still generated some interest. smile

Hehe. This is true. laugh

Yeah. It's tough stuff. But I guess some sense has finally been knocked into him.

Heh heh. It seems like pieces for Perry to connect together just keep appearing...

I love how you just put that! It really is part of what is great about Lois and Clark.

Heh heh. Comes with the suit, I guess.

That's for sure! It's hard to figure out the right amount of action and screen time for him--you don't want to take away from the Lois and Clark stuff, yet you can't just briefly mention him a couple times and have it make sense that he's in the story...

Hahahah. Definitely! It's like-- when you want to show that someone really is a villain, you have him kick a puppy. If you want to show someone's a good guy, give him a good dog! Heh heh.

Hahaha. Well, there's a bit of Lois/Clark stuff in the next chapter... smile

I would put it back on him at home if I intended to walk him or I expected guests. I would just need to make sure my door was always locked—if an unexpected guest came, then I could put the dye on Jericho quickly enough that no one would be the wiser.
Yeah, it does sound like a bit too much of a hassle to do it during the day when ever Superman shows. BTW, he *does* know Lois is the fasted lock-pick in Metropolis, right?
