Warning: There is no A plot
Truth, Justice and the Pleasuring of Lois Lane.
Chapter 8.5 of Nighttime in the Daytime
(Title courtesy of Sue. S)
Hah, that was the best introduction ever! clap

(And as for the warning that there is no A-plot... it's like being warned that the weather is likely to bring no hailstorms, blizzards or tornadoes this day!)

Quote
“You know I wondered why you had picked an apartment with a view of a brick wall. Now I understand why.”
A view of a brick wall. Yeech. (Wonder what sort of view they will have in their brownstone, and what the neighbours will think of the freqent "whoooosh's" and red and blue low-flying streaks across the sky in that nice neighbourhood?)

Quote
The man in Superman’s uniform smiled with Clark’s face.
That's wonderful! I love it!

Quote
“You have your regular clothes under there? Where?” She patted his chest, not feeling anything but male flesh underneath.
Heh, he keeps them in hyperspace, didn't you know, Lois?

Quote
He quickly stilled her hand. Her movements on his chest were seriously causing him to lose concentration.
Awww, that so darlingly sexy!

Quote
Lois tried her key on the roof door and it opened.
The roof door! The roof door! How delightfully weird is it that Americans have doors on their roofs?

Quote
Clark turned to small intense kisses along the side of her face and her neck. He brought up her good hand and kissed the knuckles, gently sucking on them. For some reason that gesture made Lois begin to moan.
I wonder if I have a knuckle fetish, because I loved it! blush

The rest of this chapter was sweetly hot and smutty. I'll say no more, except that yes, I really liked it!

And now, after such a lovely night, Clark is about to go out chasing Nightfall, isn't he? shock

Great part smile

And I agree with Ann, the title and subsequent info was a great introduction to the chapter!

Great, lighthearted fun!

Michael

PS: Was this planned that the a-plot free interlude would fall on part 8.5? Just asking because of a certain kitchen interlude a couple of years back.

Ahh, feedback
Ann Thanks for the lengthy feedback. Yes, we have doors on our apartment house roof to keep out the cold and allow access to the roof area, which is often a sort of patio thing. Lois' isn't, BTW. And there is a lock on the door so that criminals don't climb the fire escape ladders and enter the building. At least in some big cities, anyway.
DW Thanks for reading and enjoying.
MichaelI well remember Sue's kitchen scene. I don't really know how many times I've read it, but I didn't know it was Chapter 8 or 8.5. Actually, I had in mind the Frederico Fellini film of years back.
Thanks for the feedback all.

Just getting into the story, I am really liking it! This chapter was a great breakthrough as well!

Hopefully Lois doesn't freak out too much! I really like Clark here, he's so much more confident and better at expressing his feelings. I really like that.

Hopefully Lois doesn't freak out to much. Clark really did lay it on thick there at the end. I can totally see how Lois would start freaking!

Can't wait for more!

By any chance do you have a ETA for the next chapter?

Well, it's back to A plot and that takes more time to write more than Waffy's and smoochies. So I'm thinking a couple of weeks. I'm off to a cruise for a week and I don't want to work through that. However, it might give me some more ideas!
sarahI like them honest, too. I'm afraid they might get a little boring though, so I've got to throw some stuff at them.
Thanks for your feedback, all. It is appreciated.
