Ahahaha. That was very cute! I wonder if the scissors in #9 were Martha's good pair of sewing scissors.

Those were hilarious - they had me laughing so hard I almost choked on my dinner. It's just too bad that I don't have Clark's reflexes and metabolism.

Those were hilarious - they had me laughing so hard I almost choked on my dinner. You know someone is a dedicated fan when she eats dinner at her computer with her browser tuned to the latest Lois and Clark fan fiction! Those were indeed funny! I liked all of them, and I can imagine Martha literally "grounding" Clark for some teenaged transgression! Love your imagination! Keep them coming!

When I write a top ten list, I always try to put the ones I like more into the lower numbered positions. HappyGirl wrote: # 3 is definitely the winner. That was my next favourite. By rights, it should have been in the second position. Oh well. Laurach and Corrina, thanks to you two, too, for leaving feedback. I'm glad you enjoyed the list. :-) cheers, Lynn

@Lynn: I love this little hit-list! ^_^ Do you think you can make up a list of things Jonathan could have told Clark as a boy? There aren't enough fics about father and son anywhere.

DW, Thank you! I'm glad you liked the list.
Saori, I like the idea for a sequel. I had actually tried to come up with such a list before I even posted my Mommisms list, but I came up dry. The humour of this list depends on giving a "super" twist to common Mommisms. Unfortunately, I couldn't think of one, much less ten, Daddisms. In fact, I even tried Google-ing "Daddism". Not only did it not come up with anything useful, it thought I was trying for dadaism. (In contrast, it had come up with a number of links to Mommisms. I'm sure sociologists, anthropologists, and psychologists would all have a lot to say about that disparity.)
Could I interest you instead with the two top ten lists I had posted before you joined the MB? One was ten excuses Clark should NOT try with Lois, and the other was ten ways Clark should NOT reveal his secret to Lois. They're not what you asked for, but they're the best I can do.
cheers, Lynn

Lynn, I see an opportunity for another challenge here!
There have got to be a few Daddisms out there. Since Jonathan is a practical, work-around-the-farm kind of guy, I could only think of three:
3. Measure twice, cut with heat vision once. 2. If it's worth doing at super-speed, it's worth doing well.
And 1. Don't EVER try to argue with your mother!
