Yay! Another chapter! Interesting that Trask here is already a general and the head of NORAD. Will this affect Clark's Nightfall mission?

And I'm glad that Clark has decided to get his ship - on the show, that was a big unfinished plot thread.

You betcha. It was mentioned after the plane rescue that Trask was on that flight with the boxes of guns, although there was no direct link between him and the guns found.
I've been leaving little clues dribbled throughout.
Glad you noticed!

I read this part and liked it a lot. In particular, I just love seeing Lois and Calrk being so close and cosy. In the show, which I admittedly don't know all that much about, they were either out investigating things together while he was busy keeping his secret from her and she was sort of belligerent, or else she knew his secret and she was sort of... well, like the fight had gone out of her. Here they are at the top of their game and sexy and cosy. I love it!

Of course, me the non-lover of A-plots worry a little about what you'll throw at us, but this wasn't very scary, but rather entertaining in a fun way:

Quote
Sliding back onto the lap that she suddenly felt under her, she turned her head and whispered into his ear, “What are you sitting on?” She felt his shiver as her breath touched his ear.

Enjoying this game in spite of the imminent danger, he turned his head to her ear and whispered back, “Nothing.”
That's how I like them! laugh

Hi Ann:
Yes, I wanted to portray a closer relationship. I see why the LnC writers did what they did, but I wanted more closeness in my little side universe.
My Lois doesn't have the hangups the shows Lois does.
No A plot in the next part - 9.5, another interlude!
Thanks for reading.

Wonder if they're going to get the ship out this time.

Since you moved the timeline about 12 years down. What did the US do in this universe between Roswell and the inception of Project Bluebook?

Oh, and *yay* for update. But too tired for more concise feedback smirk

Thanks, DW. Soon we are getting to the heart of the story.
Hi Michael. Basically, I see this as Project Blue Book just moved 10 years forward. Roswell still kicks it off, but it is shut off in 1979, one year after this Clark arrives. It started in 1957, the date they used for the lock combination.
Ours was 1947 to 1969.
Thanks for reading!

First post for this story. I just got sucked in and kept jumping to the next post without commenting. So much happening. The arrival of Superman, the suit, the Revelation, the romance ( smile1 I love how Clark is sharing all this Superman secrets with Lois... except the globe. Is he going to get in trouble for hiding that one?

One question: I thought the 'Admiral and Agent' story came between this story and the previous Toasters / Metro Club story. But then Clark and Sam Lane met at the beginning of this story... so does it take place during this story or after? I have a vague recollection of it happening around Thanksgiving.

Very enjoyable. clap

Hi Virginia:
Thanks for your feedback! It is always great to have feedback.

"The Agent and the Admiral" actually takes place after Clark meets Sam in FBI headquarters. Neither can admit they know the other when they are at dinner at the Lanes because the women can't know and they met at a super secret briefing.

Clark doesn't want Lois to know he has met her father because it would break security. Remember - or maybe it is yet to come - he says "There are parts of my life I'm sworn not to tell you."

This Lois doesn't have a problem with that since she was raised in the military and it is a common thing. Those in the service just don't talk about their work with their families.

So that's why all the pussyfooting around each other while they are talking.

Technically, it takes place after "All the Daytime and the Nighttime" with the Toasters et al and partway through "Nighttime in the Daytime."
