When I had almost finished writing this piece, I came across Wendy Richards' short story, "When Yesterday Becomes Tomorrow". In it, she used some of the same words and phrases I have used; words and phrases centering around belonging, home, and knowing "the whole me". My writing, however, is completely independent of hers; but since we were both writing stories in which Clark expressed his feelings toward Lois via a letter, we were bound to have some overlap in terminology. I bring her story to your attention both in the interest of full disclosure and because it is a good read. My thanks again to my BRs, Female Hawk (Corrina), Iolanthe, and Sue S. for helping to make this bit of WAFF that much WAFFier and for teaching me more about the craft of fiction writing.

I plan to post a companion piece, Lois' Card, tomorrow.

As always, feedback welcomed.

Joy,
Lynn

I wish I'd written something like that to my wife. I know she'd melt in my arms, just like Lois surely did when she read Clark's card.

That was just beautiful, Lynn. Keep 'em coming!

That was wonderful! I believe I am melting into a puddle. And now I'm thinking of that goofy grin of Clark's that I'm sure he had as he was writing this to Lois and/or when he gave it to her.

Wow! I am overwhelmed! Thank you all so much! I don't think I have ever received so much positive feedback for anything I have ever posted before. You all have really made my day. smile smile laugh

I hope you find Lois' Card as much to your liking. (It will drop shortly.)
