Comments are love. Now - I do have a version where Luthor is definitely a villain but I'm not sure I want that much of an A-plot.

Wow, this is an excellent set-up. Really looking forward to see what's going to happen to this Clark - can Lois track him down? Can she figure out what happened to her? Plus the pregnancy!
Let's just say that I'm anxiously awaiting further installments.

Delightful start. Now - I do have a version where Luthor is definitely a villain but I'm not sure I want that much of an A-plot You can always leave him a villain but something L&C are planning on investigating as the tale ends. Much as you did with Cover Story

Since I checked the challenge first, there's not big surprises in here. Except that Lois managed to extricate herself from Luthor immediately. Wonder if this has anything to do with a bit of physical imprinting that happened before Lois went back in time into another universe  And are you sure about the lack of A-plot? /remembers a certain nfic two-parter (?) where Nigel shot Lex just for the A-plot's sake  / /Looks forward to the next part and pokes a small reminder in about Suddenly Blonde/ Michael

Well, my original thought was that Luthor was involved in the Congo problem and so was going to asking questions this Lois couldn't answer. He was also going to keep her close so he could find out how she escaped.
But I had also already decided that Lois's first glimmer of something being seriously off physically would be during her dinner with Lex - and Lex would find that a profound turn-off.
I may come back to this idea. But then, I may hold onto it for another story.

My apologies - I have been under attack by RL. I think it used an EMP weapon on us last night - computer issues on top of everything else. Then, I was half-way through the next section when I realized that if Lois remembers the events leading up to being sprayed by Miranda's poison, then she has details on the stories she covered with Clark in the original time-line. Which means she won;t make the same mistakes.
So - back to the drawing board, so to speak...
