Feedback goes here. Any suggestions are welcome. Next up, some A-plot and not too many parts to go. regards Artemis

Oh, that "action" between Clark and Lois was so delightfully sexy! I loved it! But as for Lucy inviting herself to Lois's place - at 3.16 in the morning at that!! - I did not love it!!! Looking forward to finding out how you will resolve this, and how you will make Lois and Clark a couple that does not have to have Lucy as the third wheel under the wagon... Ann

Thanks Iolanthe. I was hoping that would get a chuckle. And it's also very real. Service families can take their allegiance to the extreme like Adm. Lane. Don't worry, Ann, Lucy won't be couch surfing for long. Thanks for the comments. Artemis

Ooh, that was sizzling in a cold apartment “Wake up, Lois. Someone’s at your door and wants you to open it.”
Lois pushed her hips back into him.
“LOIS! Wake up! Not for that! Someone’s at your door.” With wide eyes, she turned to Lois and whispered, “You have a man here?”
Lois relocked the deadbolt, turned and walked over to Lucy and said equally softly, “So?”
“Ah, erm, nothing. I just never knew you to do that. /sputters/ But nice to see that Lois is taking Lucy's discovery in stride. But I was in Albuquerque and I know how Dad feels about inter-species dating! I did assume it referred to a military rivalry thing. Clark froze with his cup halfway to his mouth, eyes wide. ‘Inter-species dating? What the heck did she mean?’ But still, what could have gone through Clark's mind at that. Couldn't have left a good image on him whichever way he went, though. If Admiral Lane couldn’t stand one of his daughters dating an Air Force officer, what would he think about the other sister marrying an alien from another planet? Yep. After all, his oldest being done by a space-jock *) must be even worse than youngest being done by a fighter-jock. Maybe he could explain that he's from a navy-family himself? Kryptonian Space Navy, that is? Fun! Can't wait for the fallout. Michael *) to paraphrase from Carol M's Unanswered Prayers

Did anyone see this picture today over at Astronomy Picture of the Day? I guess it's obvious what it made me think of. Wasn't this how the story started? Total Eclipse from Antarctica I don't know if this has been posted before so I wanted to add the link just in case. Artemis, I wanted to go back and read the story in order and include the Nfic pars where they belong. Is there a sequence list somewhere? Stories that cross back and forth into the Nfic section sometimes leave me confused as to the best sequence. Bob

Hi Bob: That is a totally great picture. I'll add it to Chapter 1! Thanks so much. Actually, the story sequence is a simple one. If a part is number x.5, it has an nfic companion on the nfic board. The x.5 parts are meant to be interludes between the A-plot action. The part is the same on both the general and the nfic boards, except, of course the sex is more explicit on the nfic side. In the general story, the sex is there, but it is implied. At least, that's the plan. How well I've executed it may be in question, though. The plan is to send the x.5 parts from the general board integrated into the whole story to the Archive (after some editing on my part and, sad to say, elimination of the pictures). The other part of the plan, of course, is to use the x.5 chapters from the nfic side in the story sent to the nfic Archive. There will probably be more smoothing needed there too. So far (and probably totally)the nfic chapters are 8.5, 10.5, 13.5 and 16.5. Read those instead of the gfic chapters and you have the nfic version. Hope this helps. Artemis

Bob, would you know that a woman a know - a woman in her sixties - was there in Antarctica at this time to see the solar eclipse? It isn't her in the picture, but it might have been! And did you know she flew a Russian freight plane to get to Antarctica in the first place?
Artemis, I, too, look forward to more of this!

Artemis, regarding the pictures: Since we have the ebook-wiki, and the Archive-crew also started the new year by uploading stories in multiple formats, you could actually put the pictures into the other formats.

Back home now. That's a great idea, Michael. I'll look into that. First I need to get the story ready for the Archive. I'm writing Chapter 17 now. Might be ready this coming week. Life is busy too. Just thought of a vignette in the AU and will work on that first. regards Artemis
