Someone said lately that fanfic is to fix. This is my attempt at fixing a particularly spectacular bit of stupidity from the end of Season 2. And from the beginning of Season 3--you know, Clark's lame excuse that "I had to know that you'd marry me for me." Please, like she hadn't just proved that she loved Clark! Give me a break! A huge thank you to Kathy, Molly, and Stacy for beta-reading. Your comments were both helpful and encouraging. How'd I do?

“He knows, but I’ll tell him.” I shake my head, ashamed of my deep-seated instinct to deceive her even as she was proving her love for me beyond the shadow of a doubt. You expressed that well---that bit always did bother me... He does, and it feels both familiar and new at the same time, just like Clark himself. Nice description of that kiss  I take both his hands in mine. “You won’t. I told you, I love you.”
“I know. I love you, too.”
And in the end, that’s all that really matters. Aww... nice WAFFY ending!! And you did great fixing end of S2/beg S3! You're right! She did prove it and you set things to right beautifully! Well done!
Reach for the moon, for even if you fail, you'll still land among the stars... and who knows? Maybe you'll meet Superman along the way.

Superman freezing Lois made a dramatic moment but you bring up an excellent point that the risk wasn't worth it and how our emotions can cloud our judgment. This line was especially sweet: Well part of loving someone is taking risks, even huge risks." Isn't it truth that often actions speak much louder than words? Beautiful story. Joan

Wonderful way to "fix" that part of the L&C story. Always bothered me, too, about how Clark claimed he wanted to know that she loved him for Clark, and also how Lois seemed to forget how Clark had been trying to tell her something for a couple days. In the following, I think you probably meant the word "near" instead of "need", but not sure: I won’t do it. I won’t bring her anywhere need that lunatic. Really enjoyed it!

That was wonderful and it makes so much more sense. Yes, if Clark's parents have been kidnapped, why not bring in Henderson and the SWAT team? Why does Superman have to do everything? (Oh yeah. For dramatic reasons. )
