More WooHoo! Great take and great revelation. Truly end-of-the-world worthy. Great job. Artemis

That was excellent! Love Lois realizing her feelings at that critical time. The potential end of the world gets you thinking about what really matters. And Clark spinning out into Superman and taking off? Love it Joan

I'll second that: please don't let that be the end, feed the little plotbunny and let it grow. I liked the beginning and I'm sure you'll make a great story out of it. Can't wait for Lois reaction to the revelation. Kathryn

A very nice twist to this well-known episode. I've always liked how Lois came through for Clark in that episode, and you illustrated that very nicely. I had to laugh when Clark kissed her to interrupt her--and it took our Clark a lot longer to learn that technique!
I enjoyed this--thanks!

That was delightful! I, too, would like more of this (even though the “CLARK?!!” line is a perfect end ). So, more?

Well done. “But if this is the end of the world, I couldn’t have asked for a better last kiss,” she finally finished, braving a small smile. Clark finally found his own smile, bright and full of hope. “It won’t be the last, Lois. I promise.” He watched her for a few seconds longer as those rays of hope filtered into her gaze, and then he did what would have been utterly unthinkable even a few short minutes ago: he vanished right before her very eyes in a maelstrom of swirling color and gusting wind.
“CLARK?!!”
~~*S*~~
Probably not the end… Just a great ending. Stands on its own. (although I have to agree with the previous posters that a sequel would probably be a good idea.)

That was a lot of fun, Bren. A sort of 'How it Should Have Ended' take on that ep. I loved the Hokey Pokey line.
This *is* my happily ever after.

Thank you, everyone, for all the wonderful comments! Warms my heart like no words can describe!
Gotta say, after countless re-readings, that Hokey Pokey line is definitely one of my favorites, too!
As for whether or not to continue... the muse is having a hard time letting this one go, but she keeps changing her mind on the direction, so it may be a bit yet... I've got a good start, tho, so long as she doesn't change her mind on that again, lol!
Again, thanks for the awesome Feedback! As always, it is truly inspiring!

What a fun way to do the revelation. And the question mark in the ficlet's title is also quite intriguing. Michael
