This is the 2nd time I've gotten to write a story for Classicalla in a ficathon. I was happy to have a chance to do it again.

Oh, I hope the fact that Lex gets mentioned, but doesn't appear, still meets the spirit of the request.

This was great! Really loved it! I believe you left a few loose ends that require a sequel here. dance

Ooh! Great little fic! Though I could've sworn you were building up to a reveal in the end... I think I might also have to say there should be a sequel! hyper Well done!

Reach for the moon, for even if you fail, you'll still land among the stars... and who knows? Maybe you'll meet Superman along the way. wink

Hi MM,

Actually, there was a reveal. Re-read the very last sentence:

Quote
She was sure that Superman – Clark – knew it as well.
Joy,
Lynn

p.s., I was thinking a bit more about the story. Thank goodness Perry sent Jimmy and not Ralph!

Not so much a reveal as a discovery. In either case, at the end Lois knows that Clark is Superman. Do I need to make that more clear?

Also, I renamed the story. The Seminar was only intended to be a working title. I discussed the name with TFB and she agreed Taste was better.

Sorry for the confusion.

OK. Fair enough. Either way, it brings new meaning to the phrase, "kiss and tell." wink

Fun story! It figures that Lex would lie. Love Lois' 'discovery'. I was thinking if she saw Superman in Clark's bed wearing Clark's clothes that that in itself might be a give away. But I love how you choose to do it.

Thank you for sharing this story with us!

LOIS:I don't like you.
MAYSON: Really? Oh god, that is such a relief - I don't like you either.
LOIS: That makes me feel so much better

Well, I ditto the "ditto the ditto". :p It's a truly unique set-up to have the four DP reporters in that seminar. (And I can't help but wonder, how much of the stuff from that seminar is true, and how much is purely made up?) And what about people whose taste changes from drool to razz over time? (Asking from personal experience here...)

Anyway, let me send you this guy and his friends to get you to write a sequel: wildguy wildguy wildguy

And I ditto the ditto the ditto!

A rose is a rose is a rose. A rose by any other name would smell as sweet! A Clark by any other name - say, Superman - would taste as sweet, or as tastelessly clean! Really kiss-inducing! sloppy sloppy sloppy

As for giving someone mouth to mouth, isn't that called giving someone the kiss of life? Well, I love the fact that Lois was able to bring Clark back like this, in almost the same way as Prince Charming kissed life back into Snow White (or was that Cinderella?).

Lovely fic! Thank you so much, Bob!

Well, I decided to kiss my husband, all in the name of science of course! wink And at first I tasted a trace of his mint toothpaste, but after a few seconds, I actually didn't taste anything, and it really did seem like he just tasted like, well like himself.

I also am wondering if this concept comes from some kind of theory from elsewhere dance

Hi Bob:
Great little story. I liked that Lois learned early that Lex was lying to her since he said 'chocolate.' Interesting premise on the whole taste thing. Is it true? I must admit I haven't kissed many people that hadn't drunk coffee! goofy
As to this -

It was pretty subtle. I had to read it twice. If you talked about it a little longer - Lois' flummoxed reaction maybe - it would give it more punch.

Artemis

I both agree and disagree with Artemis. I agree that it was subtle, but I liked it like that. Frankly, I think this is a situation where less is more. For me, at least, its very subtlety gave it a strong impact. Any elaboration would just lessen that impact. I thought it was perfect as it was.

I don't know whether that helps at all, but FWIW, there's my two cents.

Joy,
Lynn

I agree with Lynn, I thought that the subtle reveal was perfect.
