Oh that was lovely!  I was smiling.  I loved the way you connected the songs to her thoughts and how the songs influenced her realization. More, eh?!!!

Welcome to the boards, Ann Nonymous! And if this is a sample of what you have to offer, I hope you stay around for a very long time!  What a great idea for a revelation! I don't think I've seen anything quite like it before. And why do I think that poor Clark is really going to be in trouble now?  I really liked the Superman scene, by the way - I could just visualise him watching Lois and listening to her babble, and slipping just a little to show his real self. And then getting scared when he was recalled to reality by Lois's earnest desire to get to know more about him. Okay, so where's Part 2???  Wendy

Gosh darn it, Ann (cute pen name, btw ... at least I hope it's a pen name ... if not, you probably got teased a lot growing up <g>), this was just fantastic. I really loved the setting, seeing Lois's thoughts about Superman as he flew her home. And I loved how he slipped a little, then had it all come crashing down on him.
And then her singing to Clark ... that was just great. I loved the fact that, while she was mortified that anyone else might hear her, for Clark, she was willing to not just keep humming but to play it up for him. Like Gerry's recent "Raisin" story, it shows one of those intimate "couple" moments that they regularly shared even before they were an official couple.
The revelation itself was clever, too, and I can't wait to see what she has up her sleeve, LOL. I only hope that she figures out quickly that it's Clark who is the real person and doesn't just settle for him because she thinks she's found a clever way to catch Superman.
Can't wait for part 2! Any schedule you want to share with us? Pretty please?

I found it infinitely hilarious that the one thing capable of derailing Mad Dog Lane in full revelation fury is... chocolate. And the Clark Bar thingy was truly inspired! Cute story so far. Nice glimpse of Lois being comfortable with Clark.
Interesting possible revelation.

Thanks for sharing this one with us, Ann - really enjoyed it and just the thing to take my mind off of some insomnia at seven in the morning. <G> Sweet, cute, waffy...and had me laughing out loud at times. Looking forward to seeing part two. I'd say poor Clark, but I'm having too much fun anticipating him squirming through some prime grade Lois Lane revenge. LabRat
