Scavenger Hunt: July 2024 inspired me to re-read this story.
The first time I read this story, it was on the Archive. I stayed up every night until I finished it. The first night it was 4:30 AM when I paused to go to sleep, since I was so enthralled with it. I had never done that before. Due to the number of chapters, I’m not sure I would have had the patience to read it as it was posted here on the Message Boards.
It is a roller coaster of a ride, with a complex plot. In re-reading it, I am in awe of the writing, and how many of the characters healed and matured. It never felt forced, but felt like a natural progression of their growth and healing. Brilliantly written!
