Ah, I love killer punch lines. And yours is certainly one of the best I've seen this year.

“You kept on lying to me after I guessed correctly. Made me feel like my intuition was wrong. Nope. But we’re partners and I promised Perry I wouldn’t kill you.” Bad move, Clark. Bad move. Yep, she bet she could find some Kryptonite and do him in. She could do it, if he kept up this attitude and if she didn’t love him with all her heart and soul. Great ending! I loved it!

“Actually, it’s a reception invitation. All-You-Can-Eat Chinese buffet over on Third and Mertz Ave. They eloped to Atlantic City over last weekend,” Clark informed her. My first thought when I read this was that Jimmy and Candy had eloped, after all. Glad it wasn't them... But Bobby and Mayson? What a pairing! Somehow, I just can't see them together -- which makes this comedy all the funnier. “My place. 3 a.m. How you get there is up to you.” Yup. Full circle indeed. Kudos on a delightful (to borrow Patrick's word) story. Joy, Lynn

Delightfull story.
I was wondering though, are you a fan of the Smallville series? I don't recall Lois calling Clark in Lois & Clark by the nickname Smallville. However, in Smallville that is Lois' nickname for Clark.
Herb replied, “My boy, I never say … impossible.” "Lois and Clarks" My stories can be found herekj

Thank you all for the wonderful responce. Mouserocks: I've always felt that Clark's biggest danger was a ticked off Lois, especially one who knows all his secrets. Lara Joelle Kent: Thank you. I would like to also thank my Beta Reader, who suggested I end on this line, instead of Lois thrilled that she was finally going to get some! Deadly Chakram: Thank you. Yep, this Clark drew out the reveal, even after she guessed it. Naughty Clark. Framework: Doesn't canon Lois technically have to wait through all of third season and into fourth to get some -- not just 6 months? Or are you talking about the proposal? If it's the latter, that's because in the original ending Nigel St. John, Lex Luthor and that blonde doctor lady all get killed off -- so no freezing of Lois to encourage Clark's proposal. Lynn: Hee-hee, I'm glad someone enjoyed the Mayson/Bobby combo! She was rebounding from Clark, otherwise I doubt Mayson would have thought twice about Bobby. And Bobby's such a nice guy, he deserves some happiness (or what disguises itself as happiness in the form of Mayson). And no, Lois never gives Clark the easy answer. HappyGirl: Thank you. KenJ: Working my way through Smallville. Waiting on the last disk of S2, should arrive tomorrow. Lois does call Clark Smallville in S1 L&C, but I think she drops the nicknames by S2.

I figure, why put it off till (hopefully) tomorrow... Ooooo, six months later, huh? “So, you are talking to me again. Does that mean you’ve forgiven me?” Clark grinned, falteringly, yet hopeful. What did he do this time? Leave her at Le Chefe's with a really high bill and she had to wash dishes just to get out of there? “Forgive you? Not only did you lie to me, Smallville,” she growled. “You kept on lying to me after I guessed correctly. Made me feel like my intuition was wrong. Nope. But we’re partners and I promised Perry I wouldn’t kill you.” Oh dear. And Michael

Michael: Thank you for the great Why would Bobby BigMouth give Clark an invite to Jimmy and Candy's wedding? Mayson didn't die. One of the perks of being dumped by Clark. They really do have a 3am thing going. Just hope the wedding guests like it late. Umm... Michael... 3 AM proposal date isn't for witnesses. Fabulous little viggy, Virgina! Okay, short story Thank you, Michael.

As he went to open it, Lois set her hand on top of his, stopping him. “No, Clark, not here.”
He took a lungful of air and gazed at her hopefully.
“My place. 3 a.m. How you get there is up to you.”
Clark’s jaw dropped.
Lois winked as she rolled back to her desk. “My answer, on the other hand, depends on your presentation.” Awfully sweet and romantic considering their history. Umm... Michael... 3 AM proposal date isn't for witnesses. And now... you made it really really dirty. Michael
