I notice Clark didn't mention that he could see better in the dark than humans and that his other senses more than made up for whatever he couldn't see. But then, Hercules had just accused him of showing off (as a side-note, it always irks me when people accuse Superman of being arrogant and showy just because he flies; I love Clark's answer here since him flying is as much showing off as someone walking past a person in a wheelchair).
I do like Hercules and Clark's relationship, though I think part of their seeming casual, carefree attitude must surely come from their desire to distract themselves from what they're afraid might happen.
So, two more stones?
ETA: Oh, and I love the Navy Seal comment! I always burst out laughing every time I see him make that comment in the show! Thanks again!
Two more stones indeed. And this was the easy one to get.
I always laugh at the Navy Seal comment/get up everytime I see that episode also! So I couldn't risk throwing a reference to it.
Yeah, I don't like the "showoff" accusations either - at least, when they are real accusations. But tongue in cheek I am okay with. And Herc would never make a snide comment - except about the gods, since he's never really gotten along with them, with a few exceptions to that rule.
I think their casual attitude comes more from having a genuine kinship with each other (leading dual lives, having to hide, never letting anyone know about their abilities when they are in their "normal human" roles). And from the fact that neither one has to keep up pretenses. Kevin is free to be Herc and Clark is free to be Superman without all of the lies and things that would normally get in the way. Herc has also faced stuff like this before and lived through it - it's "old hat" for him...and Clark is invulnerable. I'm sure that factors in!
Wow, you just read a whole bunch of chapters in one sitting!
