/throws rotten tomato/ I totally had that one coming. BTW, good arm! You hit me right in the forehead!
quote:
If you had done another evil cliffy right after Xena told Lois he was a goner, you'd be getting far worse than that. BUT... <imagines all sorts of horrible torture at Mouse's hands> Since you were a good little author and wrapped it up nicely (besides the agonizing "let's-see-how-cruel-we-can-be-to-Clark" scene), that's all I'll give. I'll be honest, I loved it. Even though I'm not usually a blood and guts kind of girl, the parts with Clark dying and the Kryptonite breaking off within him... /shudders/ It was fantastic, let me tell you! Bravo! Thanks so much, hun! My muse has always enjoyed being not very nice to my favorite characters. Glad that you don't hate me for it!

Great action, with cliffhanging suspense. Fortunately, our heroes made it through at the end.
I liked the banter at the end of the section; it was a nice change from the seriousness of the earlier part of the chapter.

That’s what she gets for double parking in front of the war zone. "I think it's time that we went home," Clark ventured, before Xena and Ares could continue.
The others nodded their agreement, eager to be as far from the battlefield as possible.
To Be Continued... Michael

Lois: “That’s new. He usually doesn’t sprout crystals like that unless he was too much in the sun.” He's a Kryptonian. Not a poor excuse for a vampire. And that’s why you always push the arrow *through* the body and pull it out the other side. Ooops. :p Uuumm…/points to part number. A journey through the underworld to dig him back out would likely take longer than what we have left… Could be fun though! Oh look! There's Clark! He's scratching Cerberus' tummy! Oh look. Turning your back to the little wife while going after the husband turned out to be a bad idea. Imagine that! Clever trick to make her *not* kill Alti? Maaaaaaaybe. But she *does* get to kill Dahak! Martha! The unknown lady with weird getup and big knife plunging into your son is trying to *help* him.

Wow, go, Lois!! I knew she'd come through for us--amazing that she got to be the one to destroy the villain! You never want to mess with her husband! So glad she was also able to bring him back--I never would have forgiven you had you left him dead! Again, loved the children--and like Michael, I loved the sentence about him knowing their heartbeats since they had first begun! So glad we're finally done with all the living dead/dark gods and can get to the happy ending! :p

So glad we're finally done with all the living dead/dark gods and can get to the happy ending! :p Well, I couldn't risk you never forgiving me if I had killed Clark! Glad you aren't mad at me! I toyed around with who got the honor of killing Dahak and Alti. I decided that Lois earned her right to kill Dahak, but since I didn't want her killing an actual person, Xena got to kill her old enemy. Glad you liked the line about the heartbeats. I'm really partial to that one too.
