<Points to above loss of brain function.> Drat. Too much bloodloss. How did I know that one was going to be picked up upon? Michael Edit: LEX: Hey, they didn't have sex. [Dance] Maybe I still have a chance! : Now look a that. I think the icecube has just molten to nothing.

Christina: I'm okay with you finding Clark's word choice funny. Maybe it's an alt-dimension thing.

Michael: LOIS: /Psst. Some of us think of her as ewwwww, but if you think she's an evil writer now, wait until you see what she does to me next!/ CLARK: Lois! Spoilage! LOIS: Ooops. Sorry, my bad. There There. You still get to cuddle with Clark if you manage to seduce him into your bed. LOIS: <sniffle> Thanks, Michael. IF being the opportune word there. CLARK: <clears throat> Hey, Lois, I think I might have left the kettle on at my apartment. I'll be right... LOIS: Like I haven't heard *that* one before. EW: A wise Evil Overlord always has a sniper ready to take out patient generals before they can launch their next attack. Nah, I think we'll keep Clark on the side of good for now. CLARK: Just one shot? PLEASE! He really needs to work on his communication skills, doesn’t he? Isnt' that always been their biggest issue: lack of communication? Fourteen years. When the kids start cooking dinner without a stove. I don't think... I know... That wouldn't have been... Oh, God! EW: <Channeling Tank> MICHAEL /tapping foot/: Who has exposed him to Kryptonite while Lois is in need of medical care? CLARK: In my defense, I wasn't listening to anyone but Lois. She’s shot. And if she’s not up for more, I figure it’s better than nothing? <EW looks skeptical.> CLARK: Not for our first time! Like forwarding through the talking portions of adult entertainment videos? Um... Yeah. Sure. Now look a that. I think the icecube has just molten to nothing. I've said it before: the real reason for global warming.

LOIS: /Psst. Some of us think of her as ewwwww, but if you think she's an evil writer now, wait until you see what she does to me next!/ /chooses to interpret this as Lois having to vacation with Clark on the dark side. LOIS: Like I haven't heard *that* one before. MICHAEL: /pst/ I’ve stashed some Kryptonite at his place. He’ll be ready for you to take advantage of him by the time you get there. Isnt' that always been their biggest issue: lack of communication? /signs them up for a week at the Larry Smilie Institute for a Happy Partnership with Benefits/ Missing Lois didn't have a Paul Bender, so I'm going to assume this refers to one of MLT's stories. LEX: No, no. You need to sleep with the director first. Namely: Me. Casting couch is *so* 1990s. Yes, he would have. He doesn't like Lois showing her bottom off in public! He could have covered it using his jacket while carrying her? That wouldn't have been... Oh, God! /taps foot/ Who ordered the bra with the green sparkly crystal on the clip? I explicitly said *red*. So, let's say he's been very good boy for at least 16 months, if not longer Fine. EW: <Channeling Tank> [Woohoo] Michael

He’ll be ready for you to take advantage of him by the time you get there. LOIS: What?! No floating? Casting couch is *so* 1990s. Um... Michael, we're still in 1993 in this dimension (or shall I say, we're back in 1993) He could have covered it using his jacket while carrying her? He didn't carry her until they got to her door. /taps foot/ Who ordered the bra with the green sparkly crystal on the clip? I explicitly said *red*. That wasn't a green K reaction that was a brain losing blood flow reaction. And didn’t she say quite often how she wants to well… do the things Clark didn’t want to do with Lana? I’m thinking Clark’s being intentionally muleheaded. Did Lois say that? About Clark? To Clark? Fine! I’ll give up. You just see when it takes you three more years before you get to consummate. *If* Lois survives that long. Otherwise, it would be creepy and a big no-no. CLARK: I hear she likes being frozen. No? She really is hard to please, isn’t she? CLARK: You have *no* idea. EW: /nods/ LOIS: Hey! Oh, wait. Yes, I am. Hmmm. I must have read that FDK while awake. And you don’t consider that a missed opportunity? CLARK: My life is full of missed opportunities. I’m guessing won’t be having much fun with Clark for a loooong time, huh? Depends on what you mean by fun. /points at drunk Lois after she lost an auction/ Oh, right. I thought you meant recently. So, I’ll take it that it will be four years now. Or never, considering he’s Wrong Clark and Right Clark might still be resuscitated. But don’t tell him. He might go off and mope again. Hence him saying "planning on it". Poor fellow. CLARK: But she's been shot and it's my fault!
EW & ER (Evil Reader):[not happy]
LOIS: Don't worry, I've got this. [Lois with a plan]
ER: [happily clicks dark board link] ER: Hey! Why is this looping back to the Gfic board? Something must be wrong. Argh! LOIS: I didn't say I was going dark just .

CLARK: My life is full of missed opportunities. Depends on what you mean by fun. Also: Oh, right. I thought you meant recently. Well, it was just what, 4 weeks ago, tops? Hence him saying "planning on it". Poor fellow. Best laid plans to get laid? ER: Hey! Why is this looping back to the Gfic board? Something must be wrong. Argh!

Micheal: Cute, naughty smilies! Well, it was just what, 4 weeks ago, tops? I think it was closer to 6-7 weeks since the auction. Best laid plans to get laid? CLARK: I've inheirated canon Clark's sense of optimism. <<sighs>> I wish.

Yes, with canon Clark's luck something or someone always interrupted. That happened in this fic too. When Clark decided to tell Lois, after she had kissed him on Trask's plane, she herself stopped him by telling him that she was only using him as a decoy boyfriend. The night Lois gets shot, he feels like he should tell her again, but realizes the timing is off. Once he thinks more about it, he again decides to wait. It's a scary thing to tell the person you love your deepest darkest secret, especially if you've been toying with them about it for months now. He knows she will be angry when he tells her (that much of a lunkhead, he is not) especially after what happened with his experience with Lana... so, a part of him is chickening out too.

Hi Virginia, I'm back and trying to catch up with my reading. Great part. I especially love the interaction between Clark and his little foster sister, Marbella: so in character for him! And now, part 34.

Glad Clark's interaction with Marbella worked (and didn't come across as creepy teenage boy, which really WASN'T what I was going for). Sometimes one needs to concentrate on being there for others before one can work on healing oneself.

He might want to help her in any way he could, but even he knew better to save Lois from her independence. I think that should be "better than to". Clark shrugged. “Newspaper man. I ask a lot of questions.”
Okay, that made sense. She asked lots of questions too. “Still, I want you tell him something for me.”
“Who?” Even though this is when Lois is starting to be affected by her meds, I think she would still say "you to tell".
