I guess I understand why you have a two-part prologue, but it seems a little redundant. I am not looking forward to Lois dieing, but it seems there is no way to avoid a Clark having to be stuck in a universe where Lois died in the Congo.

Yes, I guess as much as we want to get past what we already know, the prologue needs to give a full background.
