Yeah! Clark's in Metropolis! Yeah!  Cameron Trask is dead! ![[Linked Image]](http://cosgan.de/images/smilie/konfus/n022.gif) Time to go meet up with pretty brunette who makes him feel funny. Nooooooooooooooooooooooo! He didn't get the job at the Daily Planet!?!  for him working at the Stoke's Club (or is it Club Stokes?) as a bouncer. Does he have to wear a blonde wig and fake boobs too? Or does Stokes change to all female bouncers in 1994? Yea! for bumping into Lois and "saving" her from a drunk guy.  that Lois won't remember him anyway. I hope this is the catalyst to getting his act together and investigating some scum bucket and submitting free-lance articles to Perry.

I am very sad about Clark not getting the job with DP althoug I guess it is not too surprising. So what are his other two jobs? I am hoping he figures out a way to spend more time with Lois.

Oh? So, you going with the fall schedule? Clark disembarked from the bus, grateful to be able to stand and walk again. Why didn’t he fly? Also, finally home! He stood on the sidewalk, taking in the sights and smells of the city. Graffiti. Dog poo. People smoking at every corner. Cabs trying to run him over in a perpetual game of hit and run. A woman getting mugged and stuff in that back alley over there. Oh, and is that a bank robber locking his hostages inside the vault? And what’s with that guy wearing the white makeup and the red lipstick and green hair flicking a knife back and forth? So, not Gotham City after all. It had a welcoming heartbeat to it Awwww Lois… Perhaps, if he lived in Metropolis, he could get to know her. I hear she’s ordering out a lot. Maybe if he took a job as a delivery boy for Fudge Castle? He certainly planned on trying to land a job at the newspaper she worked for. Janitor? For two months he'd disappeared off the map, seeking refuge in the vast, uninhabited regions of Siberia. Save one girl and get sent to the gulag. He had allowed himself to interact with the person he had saved, instead of doing his best to be an invisible helper. Hey, it could have been worse. At least he didn’t try to score with her afterwards. But he still feared Trask somehow finding him out and hunting him down. Nah, not unless he starts exposing himself in public. Or worse, using Lois as a way to get to him. He wouldn’t do that, would he? it had weighed heavily on his mind that he had almost no contact with any people whatsoever. ![[Linked Image]](http://www.indyprops.com/pp-wilson1.jpg) Paranoid had not even begun to describe how nervous he'd been about being seen. He really should start seeing a shrink. I wonder if Dr. Friskin is married… Michael

Time to...not really get to meet Lois. Poor guy! Nooooooooooooooooooooooo! He didn't get the job at the Daily Planet!?! Perrry! Don't you know that Clark and Lois deserve to be together, forever! And you call yourself a newsman? Perry: Sorry, I have to do what the evil writer wants me to do. <scowls at DC> Me: What? What'd I do? Besides, you turned him away first, in canon, Perry! What about the Luthor's orchid ball? What about the Messenger explosion, and the Prometheus? What does this mean for Luthor and Lois? Does the abscence of Superman make Lois not seem as desirable? Different universe. So not all of those things happen. And yes, Lois does not date Luthor in this storyline. Because seriously - BLECH! Clark working 3 jobs just to stay in the same city as Lois and not one of them at the DP and not having enough money to eat. for him working at the Stoke's Club (or is it Club Stokes?) as a bouncer. The show said Stoke Club, so that's what I went with. I actually had made up MetroCity as the name, then I watched Wall of Sound again right as I was polishing the chapter to send to Anti-K for beta-ing... Does he have to wear a blonde wig and fake boobs too? Or does Stokes change to all female bouncers in 1994? Different universe, different rules. And you'll see where his other two jobs are. One is very limited hours at the Metropolis Library. The other...well, I don't want to give away too much.

Hi, Sydney! Three jobs? He's very busy! And he's not even Supermanning around town! A good thing he doesn't need to eat! A very good thing indeed. Although, I'm sure he's psychologically starving. So, first job: he works as a bouncer at the Stoke Club.
And the two other jobs? Let me guess: delivery man? Or he can cook in a restaurant (and meet Bobby Bigmouth!). You'll see! I promise!

Why did he take a bus in canon? He wasn’t wearing the suit? Oh, right. Duh! But he then flies home to Kansas and gets hit by an electrical storm over Cleveland the night of the White Orchid Ball. My guess he was trying to establish a traceable connection of how he got to Metropolis, so people would not suspect his powers. Although I think the actual answer is, someone thought it would be cool.

Remember, he's going to be waaaaay more careful about using his powers than canon Clark. The scars from being Trask's prisoner haven't left him.
