Yes, but in canon there was a "Superman". There isn't in this story, which was my point.
Why doesn't he call them his "above-normal" or "extra" powers? Or his "amazing abilities"? Of course, if he starts out calling them "super" skills, it would explain where the name "Superman" comes from.
EDIT: Didn't they also use the phrase "super cheating" when decorating their new apartment in People vs Lois Lane?
