I'm clearing out my hard drive. Forgive me if I posted this a couple of years ago, but it only had a working title and I couldn't find it in a quick TOC search, so I'm guessing not. Anyway, I hope it made you smile.

It did indeed!

Oh, I remember this challenge... <<goes digging through the database...>> here it is: Queen of Capes's Half a Conversation Challenge . I love this interpretation of this: Very good! At first I understand that Lucy is berating her sister about being a fuddy duddy, going to bed at 1am on a Friday night. Then to learn she and Clark are probably already married and past that part of their lives. Perfect! I love how Clark goes and rescues Lucy without telling Lois. He's such a sweetie! EDIT: This is the first time I've read it, so I don't think you've posted it before. EDIT x 2: Okay, just read the Half a Conversation thread, and you had posted it there, but SOMEHOW I must have missed it!

Thanks, everyone! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I love little one-shots; they give a lot of bang for the buck, as it were.

Hi, HappyGirl! "Whatever it is, it'd better be important. Do you have any idea what time it is?!" That sounds like me when solicitors call me before noon. Very Lois. I’m going to get Superman for myself. He’s the last true gentleman. Lucy, congrats. You've just made your sister your worst enemy. You’ve got Clark, and I’m going to get me the next best thing. Ah, okay, so Lois won't be fighting Lucy for Superman. She didn’t even notice when he quietly slipped out the bedroom window. “Anyway, like I was saying, all I have to do is find a tall building and jump off. One loud scream, and voila! Superman to the rescue! That is how you met him, isn’t it?” I never knew Clark could be so scary. I don’t even want to know what kind of a story he’s working on. Interviewing Lenny Stoke about how to sleep with 10 women in one night? How fun! Loved every bit of it.

One man cannot pretend to be two men without running into sticky situations occasionally. Having his sister-in-law decide to marry the 'other' him is definitely one of those situations. Lovely story, Happy. Thanks for sharing, Corrina.

I'm so sorry. I thought I had provided feedback on this earlier. I love this response to the challenge. Not only is it a very fun short, it is perfectly plausable! Well done!!! Bob

I see I wasn't the only one to respond to the challenge. Maybe the next time Labby is short on archive material we should all send them in. I don't know whether the archive is equipped to handle a collection of similar stories. The last one I remember is the Cold and Blood stories. (Which, come to think of it, was also in response to a prompt by Queenie. She does come up with some great stuff, doesn't she?)
