Yes, Clark. Your dog is Kryptonian. Like you. Earth's yellow sun tends to have this funny effect on Kryptonians. So it stands to reason...
Glad Lois is thinking things through at least.

Okay, Krypto is cute, but I love how coupley Lois and Clark are in this. Just two proud dog parents, taking their super powered pup for a walk.

Hi Barbara! Clark grinned. “I swear he understands every word,” he said proudly.
“Oh, he understands all right.” Lois quipped. “He just has trouble following orders.” Just like Lois! He ran, almost tumbling over his too large paws, tail wagging, ears fluttering in the wind, and barking enthusiastically as the pigeons flapped their wings in panic and flew off. “Flying dog seen chasing pigeons” Clark jogged after his dog. “Down, boy. Stop. We don’t chase pig-”
He stopped dead in his tracks, jaw hanging open when the dog’s paws left the ground and he kept just chasing after the flying birds. Lois caught up to Clark. “Yep, taking this dog for a walk is so going to be your duty.” Worried he might water the plants on Lex’s balcony? Clark started fumbling with his tie. “Forget what I said earlier. Training this dog can’t start soon enough.” No biting the bad man with the gun! No chasing the school bus! Clark’s gonna have his hands full now Michael

Krypto is the best doggie for Lois and Clark. He chases the birds up, up and far, far away! Sorry, I couldn't help it...

A writer's job is to think of new plots and create characters who stay with you long after the final page has been read. If that mission is accomplished than we have done what we set out to do, which is to entertain and hopefully educate.

Hahaha, well Clark, that what happens if you don't consider the side-effects of having a Krypto-animal on Earth... Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Krypto's intellect would be higher than your standard Earth dog, in fact. I mean, why not? And, Lois, when it comes to understanding vs. doing the command, it needs one to know one, huh? Well, we can only hope nobody saw the flying dog. The MetStar would have a field day with it. Then again, it's MEtropolis, so...maybe no one cares? That training should definitely be interesting.
Nice fun one-shot!
Up, up and away - to the next fanfic.

“You know these morning walks are going to be your duty.” OMG, I totally feel her pain here! Clark grinned. “I swear he understands every word,” he said proudly. I feel like this is one of those moments where the audience is like... should we tell him?? "There will be time for training later.” FAMOUS. LAST. WORDS. "Besides, the dog loves you so much, he's walking at your side just to humor you.” This is so perfectly written, and spot on. I love dogs. Clark started fumbling with his tie. “Forget what I said earlier. Training this dog can't start soon enough.” This is such a great entry into this series! Super fun!
