His descriptions of how it feels be chained by that collar, both in a previous chapter to Lois and to Bruce in this one, paint vivid pictures with words. And his frustration seems to be moderating. Perhaps he's maturing, away from Lex's reach? [Hey, I can hope!]

Looking forward to the next installment.

Thanks, cuidadora!

I love that you loved the beginning. It was just so creepy and so Lex that I had to torment Clark a little bit with throwing it in. I'm also glad you liked the descriptions of his feelings about the collar. I figure it's responsible for most of his paranoid mental state and mostly responsible for him being a major jerk. That, and having only Lex as a "role model" (and that was painful to string those words together).

Clark is starting to come around a bit. He's away from Lex and realizing how Lex is the bad guy in this situation, much more than Bruce is. Bruce is a saving force in a way (at least he hasn't tried to kill Clark yet) but having Lois beginning to believe what he's saying and not lashing out at him as much is also a major factor. Our dear assassin doesn't understand love, but he's getting an education on how it can change a heart! Even if he doesn't quite realize it.

Thanks for reading!
