Buffy Summers's adjustment to life at U.C. Sunnydale has not gone smoothly. She feels awkward, insecure, and jealous that Willow's all over the college life. So when she is visited by a prophecy of impending danger, the timing couldn't be worse. Generally, I prefer to read fanfiction rather than mass marketed media tie-ins. Usually, the writers are very restricted on plot and character development. But this compilation of four books was a pleasant surprise. It did a great job with the characters and managed to create an intense situation yet believably bring the characters back within canon.
