Songbird Thanks for your regular feedback. I've always had a 'what if Lois had a brother?' thought lurking in my brain and this seemed like the fic to explore that situation.
Andreia We'll hear more about Jack. Thanks for leaving feedback.
Scarlet You do have a lot of questions. I can answer one of them - the book. Clark is experimenting with what we now call Regenerative Agriculture, which in one sentence is 'Look After The Soil!' There are heaps of books on the topic now, but I was surprised to find that none of the current well-known authors - Gabe Brown, Joel Salatin, Christine Jones, Allan Savory, Colin Seis - had published anything in the mid 1990s. So, that left 'One Straw Revolution', which is a great little book and well ahead of its time.
Including it in the fic is a little 'extra' for any farmers (particularly ReGen Ag farmers) who might read. No relevance beyond that. And it's probably well-read because there were so few books available at the time!
bakasi In her comments, KathyB noted how, in fanfic, two people can meet and fall in love in a couple of days, and it's completely normal!
Nick Lots of interesting speculation. Re Lois - yes, she had a lot of juggling in her mind, but she has always believed she will leave the farm, even when she wasn't sure what she would do. She leaves = no relationship with Clark.
Thanks to everyone for reading.
Corrina.
