Is there a way to put exclamations around Shallowford’s comments and then, I don’t know, make them really loud and echoey? Like how they would be if that particular ‘The End’ were written at the end of a fun story and the reader were hanging out in a hushed library and just kind of burst out loud with it? And all the other patrons think about shushing the person, but then decide better of it when they see the mix of emotions on the person’s face?
